Michael Brown Warns Christians About Intermingling Politics & Faith: ‘Only Jesus Can Save America’

In CBN’s “Faith vs. Culture,” Christian apologist Dr. Michael Brown was a guest and shared his sentiments on how Christians have been responding on the issue of politics. It alarmed the radio host how believers are getting distracted with it that the mission of the Gospel has become least prioritized.

The Political Seduction of the Church

The author discussed the proselyting issue in his new book “The Political Seduction of the Church: How Millions Of American Christians Have Confused Politics with the Gospel.” He highlighted the danger politics impose on believers if they treat it like the only way to be saved.

In arguing on such a matter, Dr. Michael clarified it doesn’t mean he’s shying away “existential issues.”

“I agree that [there’s a] battle for life … the battle for family, international issues, Israel — there are massive things,” he explained. “When we put our trust in the political system to change society. When we become more consumed with winning the elections than winning the lost. And when we marry the Gospel with politics, when our Christianity becomes an appendage to a political party, we have confused politics with the Gospel.”

Seeing the need to warn Christians about the truth on this serious matter, the author felt compelled by God to write a book. Hence, his new book, “The Political Seduction of the Church.”

Intermingling Politics And Faith

Also, Dr. Michael recounted when he witnessed “fervent prayer across the U.S.” However, he didn’t expect the content of the prayers.

“It wasn’t prayer for revival; it wasn’t prayer for the Great Commission,” the apologist recalled. “It was prayer for a candidate to win the elections, a candidate I voted for. But recognizing that only Jesus can save America.”

It greatly concerned the Christian author how it seemingly became an obsession. Because it’s “elevating politics over faith—or at least intermingling the two.” But he also made it clear he’s not blaming anyone.

Then Michael concluded that he’s speaking up not for “numbers or popularity.” He’s speaking up so that Christians would hear the truth.
“I just want people to hear the message because if the church doesn’t get things right, it’s all over for America,” he remarked. “We are in this world, but not of it. We operate based on different principles. And if we are more [aligned] to a candidate or a party then we are known for allegiance to Jesus, our priorities are out of whack.”

Political Earthquake in Israel and the Aftershocks This Week

I reported to you on Wednesday that as Israelis woke up that morning, the headlines read that Idit Silman had quit the “unity” government coalition—plunging Israel’s government back into a potential state of paralysis and leaving everyone to wonder where this train is headed.

The Knesset has 120 members, and you need a majority (61) to govern and then get anything done. By the narrowest of margins, Yair Lapid and Naftali Bennett somehow managed to bring together 61 MKs (Knesset Members) from vastly different ideologies—right-wing, centrists, left-wing, and even Arab/Muslim MKs. And the unity held for almost a year.

The first major hurdle was passing a budget (something we hadn’t had in more than two years)…and they did it. Prime Minister Bennett has been front and center through several crises Israel has faced over the last year and has been instrumental in negotiating between Ukraine and Russia to end the war. Yair Lapid, as Foreign Minister, has been working tirelessly to deepen the ties with our Arab neighbors that formed in the Abraham Accords.

And now, in the middle of the night Wednesday, Silman, who had been the chairman of the coalition (similar to the Majority Whip position in the US Congress), woke up and realized she had to quit—she is concerned that the State of Israel is losing its Jewish identity.

Earlier in the week, Silman said the Israel Health Minister Nitzan Horowitz had “crossed a red line” and must resign after he said he would allow visitors to take bread into hospitals during Passover. Jews do not eat bread during Passover (Ex. 12:17-20). However, the High Court of Israel voted two years ago that this was allowed, so Horowitz sent a letter to hospitals saying they must allow it.

However, the High Court ruling and subsequent actions of the government grieve and infuriate the conservative and Orthodox Jewish segments of our society (who elected Silman) because they violate the kosher standards that are in place for hospitals and other public places. They see this as a vital part of our Jewish identity…

Silman insists that her parting of the ways with the coalition is over more than just hametz (leaven—the bread in the hospital issue). She said that, in particular, it was too much for her when Prime Minister Bennett used the term West Bank rather than Judea and Samaria, Biblical terminology favored by Jewish nationalists.

“The hametz was just the final blow. It was the erosion of Jewish identity,” Silman said. “I saw it time and time again. After comes the erosion of values. Prime Minister Bennett talking about the ‘West Bank,’ wow. If I’m for the ‘West Bank,’ I’ll join Yesh Atid.”

And it’s even more than that. Silman, who comes from the Yamina (Right‚ not as in correct, but direction) Party, has been the victim of endless harassment from those who feel she betrayed them. Maybe the final straw was last Shabbat when she showed up at her synagogue, and outside was a banner against her. Even her own family has concerns. “She was under immense pressure from within her family, from within her community.” (Times of Israel Podcast)

Since Silman’s announcement, Bennett and Lapid have been in constant dialogue with other MKs, trying to shore up the rest of the coalition.

“Our biggest achievement was not putting together a coalition nobody believed was possible. It was that Israel realized that people with different ideas — right, center, left — want to, and are able to, get together for the common good,” Lapid wrote on Twitter. “We will do everything so that the government lasts for a long while yet. We will do everything so that the country is not dragged to more toxic and divisive elections.”

Rumors are flying as many wonder if former Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is working deals behind the scenes to get back into power again. Other MKs who have been on the fence about remaining in the coalition have leveraged the moment to gain concessions from the unity government leaders. And loyalties are being questioned (one MK has been labeled a defector and has been kicked out of his party (which has led to other speculation that Silman and others may form their OWN party).

One other possibility is that Yair Lapid could become prime minister a lot earlier than he thought. He is scheduled to rotate with Bennett at the two-and-a-half-year mark. But if the unity coalition dissolves or fails to pass a budget the next go around, he would automatically become the prime minister until new elections could be held (which could take a while!).

Bennett Govt. Folds, Stops Planting Amid Bedouin Violence

The government, led by Naftali Bennett, has apparently succumbed to the violence of Bedouin clans rioting and to political pressure exerted by the Islamist Ra’am party and has ordered the stopping of JNF planting in the Negev.

After violent attacks by rioters, including an attempt to derail a train and several days of clashes, and threats by Ra’am, a member of Bennett’s coalition, to vote against it, Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Social Services Meir Cohen announced Wednesday that the tractors were retreating and that his office would enter negotiations with the local Bedouin clans, who claim ownership to the state lands.

The Bedouin Authority is under the purview of his office.

“Along with the supreme right that the state has to plant in its territory, it is important to do so responsibly, and therefore it must be reorganized with regard to the issue of planting. As the coordinator of the settlement plans, I am in dialogue with all parties involved in an attempt to reach a solution that promotes the issue, which is the most important issue for the return of law and order to the Negev,” he stated ambiguously.

He claimed that “the plantings today will be completed as planned,” but the tractors left the area mid-day.

Following the decision to suspend the JNF forestation project in southern Israel, the Regavim Movement decried “the government’s capitulation,” charging this decision as continued “protection payments” to Mansour Abbas, that “make the next round of violence and domestic terrorism inevitable.”

“The Ra’am Party and the Bedouin know full well that they can dictate to the government through the use of political pressure, strong-arm tactics and violence. When you cave to terrorism and blackmail, you invite the next round of violence. Bennett and Shaked have repeatedly asked that the ‘government of change’ be judged by actions, not words. Today, the government’s decision to surrender to terrorism and to suspend the planting project is an action that speaks louder than words. The words we’re hearing are Ayelet Shaked’s – but the tune the government is dancing to is being sung by Mansour Abbas,” the organization, which combats the loss of the state lands to illegal takeover, stated.

Dr. Edy Cohen, who specializes in inter-Arab relations and terrorism, explained in a conversation with TPS that the violence, motivated by Islamic sentiments, “is part of the Arabs’ war of liberation. They want to conquer the country, and are doing so under the guise of [land] rights and disagreements.”

“This started in Jerusalem, it worked well for them, now it’s the Negev, tomorrow it’s Haifa and Lod,” he warned.

The planting does not interest them, he explained, “it’s just an excuse. They claim that this [the planting] is a move to Judaize their lands, meaning that the premise is that the lands of the Negev are the lands of the Bedouin, and there is now an attempt by Israel to turn them into Jewish lands. That’s the whole story.”

He further noted that these violent incidents are taking place now because “they have backing, they have MKs on whom the coalition rests. They have power.”

Surprise Power Grab for Control in Israel

As the countdown clock winds down for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to form a governing coalition, the “anti-Bibi” parties made a surprise move Monday and wrested power from him through a parliamentary maneuver.

In Israel, after most elections, while a leader works to build a ruling coalition, the Arrangement Committee in the Knesset runs the government. Netanyahu’s party, Likud, had put in a bid to lead the committee, which is in charge of the budget, foreign affairs, the legislative agenda, and key government appointments.

Through two unexpected twists, Netanyahu has lost control of the Knesset. First, the Islamist party, Ra’am, committed their support to Netanyahu’s opponents, allowing the leadership of the powerful committee to go to the so-called “anti-Bibi bloc,” a diverse group unified mainly through their hatred for Netanyahu. Many of these, if not most, are ideologically aligned with Netanyahu but no longer trust him.

Second, Naftali Bennett and his Yamina party, who backed Bibi as prime minister when they met with President Rivlin after the election, voted with the opposition. Netanyahu and his allies in the Religious Zionist party see this as a betrayal. Of course, Bibi has thrown Bennett under the bus many times in the past.

Bennett has also been negotiating with centrist Yair Lapid (who leads the second-largest party, Yesh Atid) to establish a one-year healing government, where they would alternate as prime minister. The goal would be to do the people’s business on urgent matters, such as passing a budget and then have new elections—without Bibi—in one year.

WHY this is potentially devastating for Netanyahu

Netanyahu’s opponents now have the authority to potentially block him from serving another term through the passage of a bill that would prevent anyone under criminal indictment from holding the office of prime minister. Netanyahu is currently in the middle of a lengthy trial on three separate cases involving charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust.

Following the stalemate of Israel’s four elections in two years in March, Netanyahu was given the first opportunity to form a government. He has until May 4th to pull together a 61-seat majority in the Knesset, but it appears unlikely that he can find the partners.

Desperate Times, Desperate Measures

Meanwhile, on Monday, Netanyahu called for a rare “one-time snap” election, and whoever receives 40 percent of the vote would automatically become prime minister.

“There is a solution to the political stalemate, and the vast majority of the public supports it,” Netanyahu told his fellow Likud party members. A direct vote for the prime minister has occurred in the past, but Israelis decided to return to the current system of voting for parties rather than candidates. Despite the fact that Bibi is the most disliked political leader in Israel, he is also the most popular with a large minority. There is no one leader that polls indicate could beat him in a head-to-head match. And he knows it.

As the 24th Knesset Is Sworn In, Netanyahu Gets Yet Another Nod to Form a Government

Despite a fourth inconclusive time at the polls and no clear path to forming a government, Israel’s President Reuven Rivlin reluctantly tasked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday with forming a governing coalition. Rivlin said “this was not an easy decision” given the divisive political climate and Netanyahu’s personal prospects amid his ongoing corruption trial.

Netanyahu, leader of the Likud party, has 28 days to negotiate with the 13 parties who make up the 120 member Knesset (parliament) and form a coalition of 61 seats. His party has 30, and his right-wing allies (Shas, United Torah Judaism, and Religious Zionism) bring another 22 to the tally.

Rivlin addressed the members of 24^th Knesset after they were sworn in. Rivlin said he believed that Netanyahu has a “slightly higher chance of forming a government” than Yair Lapid (centrist Yesh Atid party) and Naftali Bennett (right-wing Yamina party) who had proposed a “healing government” where they would share power and rotate as Prime Minister. Their idea failed to gain traction. It was also thought that the Islamic Ra’am party might be a “kingmaker,” but they abstained from endorsing any candidate.

After announcing his decision, Rivlin spoke of his concerns over the changes he sees in Israel.

“If we are not able to find a new model of contemporary Israeliness that has a place for each one of the tribes of Israel [secular, religious, ultra-Orthodox, and Arab] …if we are not able to find a new model of partnership that allows us to live together here in mutual respect and genuine shared commitment to each other, our national resilience will be in real jeopardy.”

After being given the mandate to form a government, Netanyahu appealed to the other parties to join him. He laid out his plan to help Israel continue to address the COVID-19 pandemic, rebuild the economy, normalize relations with Arab neighbors, and deal with Iran’s nuclear aspirations.

“To do this, the government must be united, both in policy and action. And to create it, we must first end the personal boycotts.” Netanyahu said establishing a “strong, homogenous” coalition will be difficult, but not impossible.

The “personal boycotts” he refers to come from those who are close to him ideologically, but no longer trust him and have sworn not to work with him again. Bibi has been in power so long that he has burned bridges with many of his peers. Most recently, he reneged on a power-sharing plan with Benny Gantz from the Blue and White party.

In a normal situation, he would have a super majority as Gidon Sa’ar, Yair Lapid, Avigdor Liberman, Benny Gantz, and Naphtali Bennett would all join him, bringing their 45 seats to the 52 he already has. In such a scenario, Netanyahu could ditch the Orthodox parties and still have over 80 seats. But these leaders are banking on a post-Netanyahu era.

Contrasting the Kingdom of God and Christian Nationalism (Part 2)

6. The Kingdom of God views the world with a biblical lens. Nationalism views the world with a geo/political lens.

As Christians, we are called to interpret national politics through the lens of Scripture. Unfortunately, nationalists interpret the Bible through the lens of their political and national identity. This interpretation skews the way they treat people who do not politically identify with them. Thus, for nationalists, they have a narrow view of the Bible. They highlight only biblical passages that back up their ideology while ignoring the rest of Scripture that they may deem to be “uninteresting.”

7. The Kingdom of God is dependent upon neither an earthly kingdom or ruler. Nationalism is dependent upon both the ideology of a nation and its ruler.

Some Christian nationalists act as though their choice for a leader (president, prime minister, etc.) is some Messianic figure that their nation depends upon to rescue it from the hands of evil people. While God does command us to pray for our rulers, the main focus is so there can be peace. This peace is to pave the way for the gospel to go forth so people can be saved (1 Timothy 2:1-5). In the case of the United States, no matter who ultimately gets elected as president, the nation will be in trouble unless the Church passionately seeks God for an awakening. An awakening will be the only thing that will transform our ethos.

Conservative Christians may correctly assume that a Trump presidency must maintain religious liberty for churches and Christian-owned businesses. However, what good is this liberty if Christians are not passionate about utilizing their freedom to share the gospel? The Church is growing exponentially in many nations where Christ-followers are being persecuted (i.e., China, Iran, North Korea, Nigeria, Sudan, India).

To quote the Lord Jesus, “My kingdom is not of this world” (does not emanate from this world, John 18:36).

8. Followers of the Kingdom of God are passionate about a Christ-centered global awakening. Adherents of nationalism are passionate about an ideological awakening.

I have observed that even politically active Christians can be Kingdom centered, even while they are campaigning for a leader or a cause. It is okay to be passionate about politics, policy, and the economy for the sake of our country’s well being. For example, some Christ-followers express their commitment to the Kingdom through their assignment in politics in the same way a plumber can be committed to the Kingdom while fixing pipes.

That being said, there is indeed a fine line in discerning the difference between passionately loving our country (which has more to do with being a patriot committed to the good of their nation) and an unhealthy expression of nationalism. (Nationalism is blind to everything else except reclaiming national greatness. It is dispassionate about advancing the gospel).

Consequently, even a Christian activist should have as their primary goal a spiritual awakening that will transform millions of hearts from the inside out.

9. Christ-followers are primarily identified with the Kingdom of God. Nationalists mostly derive their identity from their nation.

Christ-followers are called to derive their primary identity from their sonship with the Father (Romans 8:14-17). This makes them a partaker of the Kingdom, out of which they live and move and have their being (Acts 17:28, Colossians 1:13). This is different from those who wrap the gospel with the flag of their nation. It gives the impression that their primary identity is derived from their country, not the Kingdom. Christian nationalists are obsessed with the political causes they think will bring Christian utopia to their country. They rarely talk about Scripture unless connected to a particular reason like justice, abortion, or the family.

This contrasts with the great commandment that tells us to “love the Lord with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength”. Although the second commandment to love our neighbor can fit in the construct of political engagement, it is still second to being passionate about God (Malachi 3:16-18, Matthew 22:37-40).

May the Church put His Kingdom and His righteousness first so that God can trust believers, who genuinely represent His heart to the world, to be the gatekeepers of culture.

God Is Interested In Policies, Not Politics

God established laws for our good. He delivered the Ten Commandments to Moses to help people know what is right. He knew man would not be able to keep the commandments due to sin. Yet He provided the laws to reveal the sin of man which would rebel against the laws. So we see today the work of sin in our lives. Only He can deliver us from the power of sin. He did this through the sacrifice of His Son, Jesus.

Now we are free to fulfill all the laws for the power of sin no longer controls us. Yet man refuses to obey and prefers his own way of doing things. So we have systems of government instituted to maintain law and order. This comes in different forms dependent on the policies of the governing authority. Democracy is a form of government as is socialism and communism.

Policies

There are different policies that governments support. Most are good for the protection and management of the people. However, there are some policies that are based on ideology rather than what is good for the people. Some policies based on humanistic ideology promote death such as abortion and euthanasia. Others infringe on issues to do with our gender and rights. There are good policies and bad ones. A policy that promotes death needs to be challenged. This is where we need to know what God says about certain policies. Most people are indifferent to immoral policies and go along with what the governing bodies decide. This is what is happening in our world where politics has taken supremacy over policy. Many are blind to the slow degradation of governments that promote policies that support lifestyles and issues that encourage sinful behaviors.

Anti-God

We as Christians need to discern the times we live in. Many anti-God ideologies infiltrated society and fringe groups supported them. We need to support policies that God would support and resist those that are anti-God. Righteousness and justice are paramount in God’s sight. When His laws are broken, death ensues. All the Ten Commandments break through bad policies. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. Policies that support theft, murder, and destruction are anti-God. This is the time for the people of God to rise up and resist the forces that seek to destroy. We are called to be light and salt in the world. How can we be light and salt if we keep quiet and acquiesce to anti-God ideas?

7 Reasons Why The Kingdom Will Advance Despite Who Becomes President

I am a firm believer that God works all things according to His own will and that He lifts one leader and puts down another (Psalm 75:6-7; Daniel 4:17; Romans 13:1; Ephesians 1:10-11). Even in the case of the charge of alleged voter fraud in the national election, God’s will cannot be thwarted by corrupt men. If He wants a particular person in office, he will get there. This is especially so because of the months of fasting, praying, and repenting that was done by thousands of evangelical Christians who prayed for the will of God to be done.

In light of the possibility that Donald Trump will lose the election, I began pondering what God’s purpose was in all this?

The following are seven reasons the Kingdom will advance irrespective of who the president is.

1. The evangelical Church has depended upon God for its provision and protection.

There are some in the evangelical camp who do not understand how to distinguish between America and the Kingdom of God. Some hyper-fans of the President view Him as a Messianic figure. They see him as one who would protect and provide for the Church. They also believe he will restore the nation to its historic Christian roots. Is that the posture God has called the Church to have?

I believe the Church should always (psychologically) rely upon God for her protection, whether it has to do with her “daily bread,” religious liberty, the economy, etc. The fact is that historically God has always provided, protected, and guided all Christians. This was irrespective of the form of government Christians lived under (democratic republic-USA, imperial-old Roman Empire, communism-China, sharia law-Iran).

2. There may be a window open for greater dialogue between Christians who are divided ethnically and politically.

The majority of the African American and Hispanic churches voted for Joe Biden. That is not because they do not read the same Bible as White evangelical conservatives or because they are predominately pro-choice. Rather, their perspective was that they would have sinned against God, in their conscience, had they voted for Trump. They believe and argue that Democrats will do more to deal with the root issues of systemic racism and poverty, which invariably lead to more abortions. They also posit that since Roe vs. Wade, Republican presidents have not moved the needle away from overturning that law and lowering abortions. Even if abortion was overturned in the Supreme Court, the states would have to vote on its implementation, and illegal abortions would still occur. This is why they would not view voting for a “pro-life” candidate as a top priority.

Thus, although they love the Lord as much as their White evangelical brothers and sisters, their voting priorities have been shaped towards big government intervention because they believe it aids their communities. They point to such examples as President Lincoln’s freeing of the slaves in 1863, the civil rights voting act of 1965, Brown vs. the Board of Education 1954, and the Great Society policies of the 1960’s; all of these emanated from Government mandated law and policy.

When they hear Republicans talk about individual rights instead of big government, they vote against that because they believe the economic playing field is rife with inequities. For the record, I do not agree with a perspective that enables the legalization of abortion which officially endorses bloodletting. This God hates (Exodus 20:17; Proverbs 6:17). I believe many of the Great Society programs perpetuate cycles of generational poverty, which furthers economic inequality. That being said, I understand that a person can still be my family member in Christ despite our differences in political and philosophical priorities.

3. This can be a time of increased maturation in the so-called prophetic movement and the charismatic Church.

As I said in a previous article, many prophetic leaders misspoke for God when they predicted COVID would suddenly lift around Passover. In addition to this, some of them indicated Trump would win in a landslide (I never heard one major prophetic voice say Trump would lose). Despite these two faux pas, it is unusual for any individual or company of prophetic voices to admit they made a mistake. It remains to be seen if President Trump could still win through an arduous legal battles process. If so, it would validate these prophetic voices (except those who predicted that Trump would win in a landslide).

Also, to say that their prophecies were accurate since, in their mind, Trump did win the election, but was stolen by voter fraud, is nonsense. In the context of their prophecies, they predicted Trump would serve for another term, which would mitigate against any force opposed to him.

Irrespective of whether Trump gets re-elected, my point is that the Church has to grow in its understanding of the prophetic nature. Utterances by those identified as prophets are not equal to scripture when it comes to inspiration (1 Corinthians 13:9). This testing season may be the time for the prophetic movement and the Charismatic Church to grow to another level of maturity

4. If Trump loses, masses of people, puzzled over evangelical support for the president, may be reached with the gospel.

Many conservative Evangelicals reason that they do not vote for the person but for the policy. Such a view is puzzling to many whose world view has been shaped by the secular culture. A new generation has emerged that doesn’t understand the evils of socialism, the need for the nuclear family, the biblical view of human sexuality and gender, and the pro-life position (thank God that is now turning within the Gen Z and Millenial groups).

Consequently, they are shocked that Christians can vote for somebody they deem as bombastic, arrogant, racist, immoral, and immature. Whether Evangelicals like it or not, overt support for Trump has alienated half the population from the gospel (especially Gen Z’s and Millenials). The way conservative Christians respond under a possible Biden presidency will determine whether or not they will be able to present the gospel and advance the Kingdom of God to those ignorant of a biblical worldview. The gospel is more attractive when Christ-followers walk in the virtues of the sermon on the Mount and trust in God for ultimate vindication, as taught in Matthew 5-7. If Trump gets re-elected by proving there was voter fraud through the Supreme Court, the conservative evangelical Church still has to discern how to better align with policies they agree with without identifying the gospel with a particular political party.

5. The true remnant Church will always advance, even in persecution.

History and the Word of God teach us that even in persecution, the people of God can flourish. This is because the true Church has always adopted and grown in all circumstances. One can argue that the Church is at its peak during times of persecution. An example of this was when the Church seemed to grow weak after the “edict of Milan” in 312 AD when Roman Emperor Constantine made Christianity legal. Furthermore, Exodus 1:12 states that the more the Jews were persecuted, the more they multiplied. Throughout church history, we have found out that the blood of martyrs is also the seed of the future Church. Look at how the Church has multiplied during the recent reign of Communist China, Islamic Iran, and beyond!

Many believers have fasted and prayed for Trump to win because they deem Biden and Harris a threat to their religious liberty and biblical values. That being said, even if they are correct and a Biden presidency results in a religious liberty contraction, the kingdom of God will continue to advance because the One in us is greater than the one in the world (1 John 4:4).

6. God works all things out for His kingdom purpose.

Although many Christ-followers may be shocked, dismayed, and discouraged about the election results, they must understand that God is smarter than the devil, and His ways transcend human understanding (Proverbs 3:5-7; Isaiah 55:8-9; Romans 11:33; 1 Corinthians 2:8). Joseph told his biological brothers who sold him into slavery that “what you meant for evil God worked for your good” (Genesis 50:30). Romans 8:28 speaks about how those who love God and are called according to God’s purpose should trust Him to work all things out for good. For those disappointed in the election results, their faith in the sovereignty of God and His providence will now be put to the test. People have two choices: either believe the Word of God, or don’t believe it!

7. Finally, the gates of hell will not be able to conquer the Church.

Thus, irrespective of the outcome of the election, the increase of His government and peace will continue to expand until the final consummation of human history (Matthew 16:16-19; Isaiah 9:7; Ephesians 1:10).

Worship artist Sean Feucht revealed his plan to run for congress and inspire millennials to engage in politics.

Sean has spent the last 15 years traveling around the world doing ministry. He has ministered to people in war zones and has helped save children from sex trafficking and labor camps in India. Just last year, God called him for something different and that calling is to serve his own nation.

“I have four little kids and I’ve been looking at them recently and just thinking and wondering and honestly worrying a little bit about what America is going to look like when they grow up,” Sean explained.

Running for Congress

The founder of Burn 24-7 is running as a Republican for the seat in the 3rd Congressional district in California.

“I’m doing this because I’ve been praying for so many years that God would bring revival and that he would bring an awakening to America, that government officials would be elected that would be righteous,” he said. “But I think what happens is that you reach a point to where your prayers don’t carry a lot of weight unless there is action behind them. And that’s the place where I am right now.”

Worship

The Bethel Music worship artist emphasized that worship is his primary calling and that he will still be a worship leader despite being in politics.

“Worship is my primary calling, and it’s the primary calling of every believer, and whether it was in a season of where I had a real estate investment company and business out of college. When I started three non-profit organizations and we went after the marginalized and the hopeless I was still a worship leader,” Sean stated.

Worship artist Sean Feucht then noted that the life of King David is an example of how the heart of worship could be carried into our different callings.

“If you look at the life of King David, for example, he was a rancher and a farmer and then he was in the infantry and then he was a politician and he led an entire nation. And all through those phases and seasons of his life he never lost the heart of worship. That’s really my desire, to carry that heart into everything that we’re called to do,” Sean said.

Millennials to engage in politics

The Light A Candle founder also wanted to inspire this generation to engage in politics regardless if he wins.

“More than anything else, my heart is to inspire people in my generation to engage in the political world. I know that it’s dirty and has a bad reputation but I also know that we are called to be the salt and light and so I want to do my best to do just like what we do when we are in Iraq or India, bringing the light, love, hope, and salt of Jesus in the mix. Hopefully, out of my attempt, whether it is successful or not, that we would get millennials to engage in this election cycle and that we’d get future people to run for office,” he added.

Hope Is Arising That Roe V Wade Can Be Overturned Through Prayer

On January 22, 1973, in Roe v Wade, our highest level of government ruled (7–2) that the restricting of state regulation on abortion was unconstitutional. That day I know Heaven began to mourn over the legalization of the killing of the innocent.

Since the legalization of abortion, millions of babies have been killed in the name of “Pro-Choice.” And just like the blood of Abel cried out after he was murdered by his brother, Cain, I believe the blood of the unborn cries out to Heaven for justice. However, it is the prayers of the intercessors in this nation that will lead to the overturning of abortion and the spirit of Molech.

Molech

We are currently in the midst of transition and a Heavenly mandated realignment. Since the election of President Trump, who along with our vice president is a huge Pro-Life supporter, we are now seeing the breaking of the spirit of Molech. The stronghold of death is being broken over this nation.

Many of you might be asking just who was Molech? Molech was an Old Testament idol worshiped by Canaanites. In their worship of this ‘god’, they would sacrifice their children in the belly of this idol. The belly would burn with real fire, as the deceived people sent their children through.

God hated this and rebuked Israel declaring that Israel was not to participate in this evil practice. Leviticus 18:21 says, “Do not permit any of your children to be offered as a sacrifice to Molech, for you must not bring shame on the name of your God. I am the Lord.”

Molech worship seems to have passed away, but the evil spirit behind Molech is alive and well in America. It is manifested through abortion. It is the power of this ancient spirit that has caused millions of babies to be killed. But, we see this spirit breaking and weakening in America.

Prayer to overturn Roe v Wade

As we progress through 2019 and into 2020 we will see the overturning of abortion in many states across America, along with those states that have already passed laws. I believe that even in left leading states, abortion will be challenged and will even be argued in the Supreme Court.

What does this mean for you and me? We, the Body of Christ must engage in intense prayer, for the overturning of abortion like never before. We are standing in the gap, and we have a prophetic window in which to contend with Heaven for a great awakening of revival globally.

We are also to contend until Heaven overturns Roe v Wade and ends the legalization of abortion across this nation. Let’s join together as intercessors across this nation to pray, and fight in the Spirit. Although the spirit of Molech behind abortion is weakening in the USA, true change is dependent on the saints.

Our intercession has the ability to shift this nation out of abomination. It’s time for the intercessors arise! Only the prayers of the saints can completely break the grip of this demonic spirit and its hold on this nation. I believe that Roe V Wade can be overturned through prayer
