God can do more than we have asked him to do and more than we have ever thought he could do.
No matter how bold our requests may seem, God can do all we ask and much more. God’s means for accomplishing more than we can imagine comes through His strength. His work is done by the Holy Spirit’s power within us, rather than by our human strength.
The power of God over us goes beyond what we can think. And the love of God for us goes beyond what we can think.
Life often presents us with challenges that seem insurmountable. We may feel overwhelmed by circumstances, limited by our resources, or discouraged by setbacks. Yet, in these moments, God’s Word reminds us of a profound truth: God is able to do far more than we could ever imagine.
God’s Power at Work in Us
The Apostle Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, emphasizes the limitless power of God. This power is not just at work around us but within us. When we yield to God and trust in His plan, He works in ways beyond human comprehension. Our prayers, hopes, and dreams may seem grand, but God’s plans always exceed them.
We often limit ourselves by our understanding and expectations. We pray for provision, but God provides abundance. We ask for healing, but God restores completely. We seek guidance, but God leads us to greater purpose. His ways are higher than ours, and His thoughts surpass our understanding (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Faith Unlocks God’s Limitless Power
To experience the fullness of what God can do, we must believe. Faith is the key that unlocks divine possibilities. When we trust in God’s power and surrender our worries to Him, we position ourselves to receive blessings beyond what we can ask or think.
Abraham, for example, trusted God when he was promised descendants as numerous as the stars, despite his old age. Sarah laughed at the impossibility, yet God fulfilled His promise (Genesis 18:12-14). In the same way, God invites us to trust Him even when our circumstances seem impossible.
God’s Plans Are Always Greater
We may pray for a job, but God desires to give us a career that fulfills our purpose. We may seek comfort, but God offers peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7). We may desire a simple resolution, but God orchestrates miracles that testify of His glory.
How to Trust God for More
- Pray Boldly – Approach God with confidence, knowing that He is able to do exceedingly more than we can ask (Hebrews 4:16).
- Surrender Completely – Let go of fear and control, allowing God to work in His perfect way.
- Walk in Faith – Believe in His promises even when you don’t see immediate results.
- Give Thanks Always – Trust that God is working for your good (Romans 8:28), even when circumstances seem unclear.

God is not limited by our human understanding or expectations. He is a God of abundance, miracles, and divine surprises. Today, let this truth strengthen your faith: With God’s power working in us, He can do much, much more than anything we can ask or think of.
