In an old video featuring the late evangelist Kathryn Kuhlman, she shared “how to have real security,” emphasizing that true security is only found in Almighty God.

Security is one of the basic human needs, whether it’s food, shelter, or employment. Consequently, some individuals become consumed by pursuing these needs to the point of losing themselves when they fall short. Worry and anxiety can plague those who struggle to meet these necessities. Therefore, real security, when not rooted in God, can indeed bring harm to individuals.
Kathryn Kuhlman, the late evangelist, offered wisdom to help people maintain their security. She urged them not to lose their faith in God because it is paramount. She asserted that without God, true security is unattainable.
“Having lost faith in God, we have lost faith in ourselves,” she said. “Having lost faith in God, we have lost faith in each other. And after one has lost faith in God, that one has nothing left.”
Real Security
Kathryn emphasized that the greatest security can only be found in Almighty God. She proclaimed that only when God’s Word becomes an integral part of a person does true safety emerge. Anything outside of this foundation is inconsequential.
The late evangelist’s message serves as a reminder for Christians not to place their faith outside of God. Adverse circumstances and unlikely situations can easily distract individuals from God. This underscores the importance of anchoring one’s security in God.
Similar to the parable of the “The Wise and Foolish Builders” shared by Jesus, it is prudent to build one’s faith on the Rock.
He said, “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”
