It’s January, and people are challenged to make a breakthrough in their lives at the start of a new year. And maybe the reason why you are reading this is because you need breakthrough to happen. However, you may need to change your perspective about breakthrough when it comes to the ways of God.
Pastor Steven Furtick shares a very profound explanation on how to achieve breakthroughs in life. The first thing you need to do, he says, is to stop having the wrong mindset. If you are currently begging God for a breakthrough to happen, then that isn’t going to work.
You don’t have to beg God for what He has already brought for you. You don’t have to ask Him for what He died to give you. God already provided something in your life that will surely help you in attaining the desires that He placed in your heart. You are given all the resources that you need for you to be able to start doing the things that will make you grow in His presence.
Jesus is the living well. And He will never run dry. We can run to Him and seek wisdom about the things that we need to do. Even if your current situation says that the desires of your heart are impossible to happen, still you need to have faith, the kind of faith that has the ability to override the circumstances that surround you.
Breakthrough begins when your excuses end
Maybe you are contemplating different reasons why you shouldn’t take a step towards your dreams. Maybe you are afraid to venture out of your comfort zone. But always remember that nothing new will happen if you keep on doing the same thing over and over again. It’s time for you to move.
You never knew, while you are waiting for God to come down and do something in your life, God, on the other hand, is also waiting for you to get up and do something different. Breakthrough doesn’t begin when your situation changes but when you make the determination within yourself not to wait for anybody or blame anyone. Don’t wait for your situation to end, allow God to change you, then breakthrough will happen.
