Hurt by religion, a woman stopped believing God was real. But when she received prayer, the Holy Spirit moved powerfully.
Woman Stopped Believing God Was Real
This woman was invited by her friends to go to church, but she really didn’t want to be there. She just agreed because her friends asked. So, when she was called to the front, she was very reluctant to respond.
The reason why she was hesitant was because she had been hurt before. But she curious to see if Jesus was actually real.
Pastor Daniel Adams asked, “Have you ever met Jesus before?” And she answered, “Doubt it.”
The pastor shared that God loved her, but she replied, “Well, if it’s real.”
Danny wanted to make the room feel a bit lighter, so he jokingly said, “If it’s real? What’s going on in this place! Either I’m a crazy half-nut dude or something’s happening. My wife said that’s partially true,” and everyone laughed.
Woman Stopped Believing God Was Real, But His Love Changed Her
Danny didn’t want to force her to believe in Jesus. However, he continued to share his testimony of how God’s love changed his life.
“He will love you even if you don’t want Him to because He’s just that good. Look at me. Why am I doing this? I could be doing other things. But I’m here doing this for some reason. I must have met God somewhere. I’m an ex-cage fighter, I’m an ex-everything. I could be doing a whole lot of other stuff,” he said.

The woman wasn’t convinced. She said, “This is ridiculous.”
Danny prayed for her, and thankfully, she agreed.
God’s Love Shown Through Prayer
“You’re precious, girl. Lord, I know You love this girl. And I know she’s going through stuff like we all have. But Lord, she says she’d believe it if it were real. So, Lord, the big thing we’d like You to do is to tell her You love her,” he prayed.
And suddenly, she began to cry.
Danny continued, “Show her who she really is. Open her eyes to see and ears to hear how precious she is to You. Touch her, Holy Spirit. I just pray that You help her, Lord. I pray that she sees it ain’t about that religious stuff but it’s about relationship stuff. And Lord, I pray You’ll walk with her side by side and hand in hand, and show her how close You are to her after today. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
The Works Of The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit was breaking down her walls and softening her heart. With tears in her eyes, she said, “Thank you.” And her friends welcomed her with a hug when she went back to her seat.
“We don’t push people into wanting Jesus. They have to want Him for themselves. But as believers, we can plant the seed of God in their lives and give them hope to start with,” were the words written in the video.
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me” (Revelation 3:20, NIV).
