A woman battling cancer while also pregnant gave birth to a healthy baby girl. She trusted God and He did not fail.
Battling Cancer While Pregnant
Hope was in one of the busiest seasons of her life when she suddenly began to feel sharp stomach pains. She thought it was a simple stress ulcer. Until she had to go to the emergency room because she was in so much pain.

At the hospital, doctors discovered she had a mass in her colon. Hope then asked for prayers from her church family. And a week after her cancer diagnosis, she also found out she was pregnant. The soon-to-be-mom felt nervous because she knew it would be a high-risk pregnancy.
Not Opting For Abortion
Hope’s OB doctor recommended aborting the baby because it would be easier on her body. But Hope wasn’t even considering that option and had always planned on keeping her baby. Further, the doctor warned of a possible miscarriage but also said it would get better after ten weeks. She decided the risk was worth it.
Hope prayed and waited throughout her pregnancy. But what’s remarkable to her was the peace God gave her in those moments. Writing blogs to process he journey soon became her outlet. Eventually, people who were reading her posts began to ask about Jesus.

At that point, Hope saw how God used her suffering for His glory.
“I trust You God, I trust You with my life, I trust You with everything. And I believe that Your will is good and perfect,” she told God.
Delivering A Healthy Baby Girl
Hope made peace with the thought that even in her suffering, God was good. And that even if she had to die, she would surrender to Him. She was determined that her death would be worth it if many people would know Jesus through her story.
Finally, the day came for Hope’s “surgery to remove the tumor.” Hope prayed and trusted God for her baby’s life. The doctors gave her a good report from the surgery and soon after Hope gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
“I’m grateful for what I went through because I got more of Jesus and it drew me closer to Him,” she remarked.
