After almost a year of the disastrous wildfire that struck Maui county, Hawaii hope is not lost as Pastor Greg Laurie and the team share the Living Hope with the residents. As a result, 100 people receive Jesus as their Lord and the local church has been increasing in number.
Harvest Maui
Harvest Maui hosted a two-service outreach on April 28-30 with 3,000 in attendance. The outreach, which was called Hope for Lahaina, led a hundred people to Christ and encouraged thousands.
Greg preached, “What do we do when crisis hits? What do we do when the bottom drops out? What do we do when we don’t think we can make it another day? We look to God.”
“There’s a book that God has given us that has hope in it and that book is called the Bible. This is where you are going to find the hope that you need. Hope has a name. It’s Jesus.”
We had a blessed time for our outreach event yesterday on the island of Maui that we called, “Hope For Lahaina” We had 2 services with over 3000 attending.
We had fantastic worship led by Leeland and an inspiring performance by Danny Gokey. Danny had to catch a red eye to be on… pic.twitter.com/kwd5pM3pHd

One island resident believed the event was God-sent as it uplifted the hopeless community. She shared, “A lot of people feel hopeless. There just seems like no end in sight. (Like) what’s going to happen here in our community. So hopefully many people will come together and feel the spirit of God and find Jesus because right now in Maui, we need it.”
Maui County, Hawaii
Last August 2023, a series of wildfires struck Maui Island causing widespread damage and displacing thousands of families. Since then, Harvest Maui led by Pastor Greg, has donated food, clothing, and shelter to the survivors.
He told CBN News, “The church is here for such a time as this.” He added, “Hope actually grows in the garden of adversity and I believe that our church reaching out and other Believers living as they should as Christians, we will be able to bring help and hope to the people of Maui.”
Today, Harvest Maui is building a new facility to accommodate new believers.
