You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath day of rest dedicated to the Lord your God. Exodus 20:9-10
Normally at the beginning of any year, we encourage one another to maximize our opportunities for growth, for improvement, for more, and more, and more…
Surely its time for us all to work harder…work faster…read more…exercise more…
The list goes on.
But the Father is smarter than us (in fact WAY smarter than us) and He says we should REST!
Yes, in the middle of all our schedules and plans…when BEING BUSY is so much easier to achieve than to MAKE PROGRESS, the Father, the Creator of the Universe says REST.
But the seventh day…is a day of rest. v10
So here’s a challenge for us all… that in the coming year: each week, each day in fact, we will all TAKE TIME to rest.
Take time to breathe.
Just take time.
REST. BREATHE. TIME.
For only we who believe can enter his rest. Hebrews 4:3
