Woman Was Delivered From Demons She Agreed With By Watching Horror Movies

Alicia liked watching horror movies. She liked the thrill and adrenaline it gave her. But one day, she realized how it was affecting her soul.

Alicia grew up in a conservative church that didn’t discuss the topic of deliverance. This was one of reasons she wasn’t afraid of watching horror movies. In fact, she enjoyed it.

“I used to watch horror movies; I would get a thrill from it, and I thought it was exciting,” she said.

For Alicia, watching horror movies was better than taking drugs and drinking alcohol. For her, it didn’t seem bad at all.

“Maybe because I didn’t really get a thrill through drugs and alcohol. I kind of thought that that was one way that I could kind of get that thrill and that adrenaline,” she said.

Being Delivered

But one movie changed her perspective on horror movies.

Alicia shared exactly what happened: “There was one particular movie that I thought was going to be okay. But it got more and more demonic. There was eventually a scene where it was like human sacrificing and I turned it off right away but it was too late. Something had entered me and I almost physically felt something; I felt that presence come into me and I was like, “Oh no.””

She was already a Christian at that time, and thankfully, she was able to receive prayer and get free.

The Effect Of Watching Horror Movies

“My husband did some deliverance with me. We got the spirits out and there was a little bit of shaking, but I think it was that spirit of fear that had entered me. As it was coming out, it was manifesting. So I was shaking and I was feeling that fear. I was getting these nightmares. I was waking up in the middle of the night for no reason, just screaming. And I was in panic, and I was feeling that anxiety. I knew there was something not right,” Alicia said, describing the terrible impact of these movies on her.

But thankfully, by the grace of God, she was delivered. That was also when she decided to stop watching horror movies.

“So, I got it delivered. Praise God for that! That brings me so much joy: setting the captives and the prisoners free,” she said.

Alicia and her husband Matthew now run the ‘Keys to the Kingdom’ Deliverance and Evangelism Ministry, which equips churches all around the world for deliverance.
