Church, We live in unprecedented times and must respond accordingly. Just this morning, as I was driving, the Holy Spirit downloaded a powerful message. The lyrics of an old song echoed in my heart, “Sound the Alarm, Tell Everybody it’s Time to Wake Up!” What followed was a vivid vision of a person in deep slumber, their alarm blaring. With heavy eyelids, they half-heartedly reached over, hit the snooze button, and remained in bed in the dark, half asleep. It struck me that this image represented the Church. In hindsight, 2020 was that alarm, a wake-up call, and yet, the Church regrettably hit the snooze button.
This is not a message of fear, but a clarion call from heaven itself.
The world faces critical times, and the recent events in Israel should be a stark reminder that we are ill-prepared for what lies ahead. We are in an urgent hour, and the need for intercession has never been greater. Just as the five wise virgins in the parable filled their lamps with oil and were ready, we must gather our oil quickly and prepare ourselves for the trials and tribulations that loom on the immediate horizon.
Now is the time to cast off unnecessary distractions and gain a clear vision for this hour. We must refuse complacency and apathy. It is a time for spiritual battle, and our weapons are not of the flesh but mighty in God for tearing down every demonic stronghold.
The events in Israel are not just a war; they are a massacre driven by demonic forces with a sinister agenda to annihilate not only Israel but all Christians. It is a time to wake up, stand firm, and pray.
Beloved, it’s time to stand boldly. This is not an hour for retreat but for advancing the Kingdom of God here on earth as it is in heaven. The alarm is piercing, and we must be spiritually vigilant because the times are critical, and the spiritual battle is intensifying.
The Scriptures remind us of the urgency of the hour:
- Romans 13:11 calls us to wake up from our slumber, knowing that our salvation is nearer.
- 1 Corinthians 14:8 emphasizes the importance of a clear call, for who will get ready for battle without it?
- Isaiah 60:1-3 encourages us to arise and shine, for the glory of the Lord has risen upon us.
- Joel 2:1-2 instructs us to blow the trumpet and sound the alarm, for the day of the Lord is close at hand.
- Matthew 25, through the Parable of the Ten Virgins, teaches us to be prepared and have our lamps filled with oil.
- Revelation 3:20 reminds us that Jesus is knocking at the door, and we must respond.
- 2 Corinthians 10:4 reassures us that our weapons are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds.
Church, the time to sound the alarm is now. Let us not be like those who hit the snooze button in our slumber. Instead, let us respond to the urgent call and rise, shine, and overcome darkness with the Light of Christ. May the grace of God empower us to be vigilant, prayerful, and fearless in the face of adversity.
Stand strong!
