Pastor Vladimir Savchuk shared how their youth ministry experienced a breakthrough after he fostered a relationship with the Holy Spirit.
Fourth Generation Pastor Vlad
In his book, “Host the Holy Ghost,” Pastor Vlad attested to how his friendship with the Holy Spirit unlocked miracles both in his life and in the ministry. Hence, he urged Christians to cultivate a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit.

Vlad is the fourth-generation pastor in their family. He is a descendant of Christian martyrs and pastors in a communist country. Because Vlad comes from a family with genuine faith in God, it was also imparted to him. He knew that following Jesus doesn’t always come with just blessings, but also with persecution.
Friendship With The Holy Spirit
At 13, Vlad’s family migrated to the United States, where he encountered challenging circumstances that shook his identity. He struggled with the new environment, faced bullying, and frequently suffered from migraine headaches, leading to insecurities that made him shy away from people. At one point, he even asked God to cause an accident so he would die.
However, amidst the struggle, Vlad began isolating himself in his room every day after school to pray and talk to God. Soon, God started a transformation in his heart, speaking to him as Vlad sought Him. God also miraculously healed him from his headaches.

Later, Vlad became a youth pastor at 16 years old. However, for ten years leading the youth ministry, it never grew. He became desperate for a breakthrough and even traveled to another country. Soon, he discovered the power of having a relationship with the Holy Spirit.
“We don’t realize He is a person, He is God, and He is here,” the HungryGen Pastor remarked. “..We can have the same relationship with the Holy Spirit the same way the disciples had with Jesus. He’s here now. We can have a communion, we can have a relationship with Him. But we cannot do that if we keep seeing Him as a dove experience, tingling feeling fire, miracles, power.”
“If we see Him as a person, He will use us and we can get to know Him.”
