Toddler recovered from COVID19
In Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, China, a 2-year-old little boy, who was diagnosed with coronavirus, is making headlines with his heartfelt photo. The toddler had been receiving treatment for COVID19 at a hospital in the city where Cao Lingling is his nurse. After he made a full recovery from the disease, he did something for his nurse that has touched thousands.
A bow of gratitude
As he was being escorted by Nurse Cao outside the hospital building, he bowed to her as a gesture of his gratitude to the selfless nurse. In return, Nurse Cao also bowed to the adorable toddler. The heart-melting moment was captured on camera by some of the nurse’s colleagues.
The photo was then shared online where thousands praised the gesture of the little boy and commended the hard work of the nurse.
“Children, sometimes, express their emotions in a simple way but it can touch people. The bow speaks of the gratitude and the nurse’s response shows her responsibility,” one Weibo user wrote.
Century-old bow
Chinese locals were reminded by the boy’s bow of a similar moment from a century ago. A toddler also bowed to Dr. David Duncan Main, director of Hangzhou Guangji Hospital, while making his rounds. The medical personnel also bowed to the child in return.
