The busy street of New York Times Square halted to witness the powerful “You Raise Me Up” performance, and people are brought into worship.
“You Raise Me Up”
It started with a woman playing the melody of “You Raise Me Up” with her trumpet right at the center of a busy street in New York Times Square. She was then joined by others who were also holding their instruments. There are also some vocalists who joined in the public performance.
“When I am down and, oh my soul, so weary. When troubles come and my heart burdened be. Then, I am still and wait here in silence. Until You come and sit awhile with me,” they sang.
As they sang the beautiful piece, they captured the attention of people passing by. These busy men and women gathered around them to witness and at the same time worship with the group. Times Square halted while the choir of the World Mission Society Church of God delivered the song.

The message they wanted everyone to hear is the message of hope. The world has gone through many difficult situations in the past years, however, God has always been there with us. Even after how the wars and pandemic instilled fear in everyone, there is still hope in Jesus Christ.
“In these days without hope, when disasters have become common, we would like to share the hope that God has given us with everyone,” the ministry wrote in the video.
Hope defeats fear and pain.
“In these days without hope, when disasters have become common, it puts your despair and pain behind and moves your hearts,” they wrote in the YouTube post caption.
