Waves of revival have been felt across the nation and continues to touch students and moviegoers who see the film “Jesus Revolution.” As a result, thousands are turning to Christ for salvation and restoration.
Thousands are turning to Christ
Many reports have come in from different campuses, sharing how students have gathered to worship and pray. Moreover, revival gatherings are now popping up on secular campuses like Western Kentucky University (WKU) and Texas A&M.
Christian Post reported that WKU students who visited the Asbury revival gathered and invited other students for worship. “We have seen a ripple effect from Asbury on the WKU campus. Several students from WKU attended services at Asbury,” said Tommy Johnson, a campus minister for the university’s baptist ministry.

“After returning from Asbury, several gathered for prayer and worship at the chapel on WKU’s campus and invited other students to join that night. One of the student leaders who attended an Asbury service, a freshman, then invited several leaders of campus and church ministries to meet to explore a potential joint campus ministries worship and prayer gathering,” he added.
Also, the Ohio State University (OSU) held a worship gathering in their Student Union Building. The worship started on Thursday evening and lasted into the morning.
Priscilla Wan, director of the campus ministry at OSU, recalled the gathering as “powerful.” She said that many students attended and were crying out for revival on their campus.
She said, “I think we will see more collaborative prayer and worship gatherings on campus, but I think we will also see it organically happening among students in their dorms and social gatherings.”
Furthermore, people are hungry for more of God and His presence.
In Miami, Florida, moviegoers watching Jesus Revolution stayed after the movie to pray for each other. Fortunately, one moviegoer caught the special moment and shared it with the public.
The video clip showed groups of people praying, and there were also kneeling and worshipping. One moviegoer stood in front and led the people into worship. They were all singing, “We Exalt Thee.” And all of this happened inside the movie theater.
