So many people in the world today deal with fear, anxiety, and hopelessness. But, did you know that as sons and daughters of King Jesus, we have Faith, Hope, and Love to partner with? I never understood why even after I gave my life to Jesus, I still dealt with these things from time to time. I set out on a journey to overcome fear in my life and partner with the Prince of Peace once and for all.
“Do Not Be Afraid”
One morning, I was doing my devotional while reading, “Do Not Be Afraid” by Messianic Rabbi K.A. Schneider. I came across verses to partner with and one of them was Isaiah 41:10, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed for I am your God, I will strengthen you, I will surely help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” I was encouraged by this verse in the realization that God is always with me, and He gives me strength in times that I need Him the most.
There Is No Fear In Love
As I started to contend for my breakthrough, I began to go deeper into God’s word. He started giving me revelation on what “Faith in God” means. He gave me 1 John 4:18, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” At that very moment, it hit me. I hadn’t truly been grasped by Love himself. Not because God wasn’t relentlessly pursuing me, but because I was putting my faith in the things of this world instead of putting it in Jesus. Fear is faith in the wrong God.

Faith > Fear
I’ll leave you with this. Fear is a liar and isn’t a fruit of Jesus. God is always with us like it says in Isaiah 41:10. But how could fear possibly bear the presence of the ultimate source of Peace, Hope, and Love in our lives? If you’re dealing with fear and anxiety today, I encourage you to read and partner with this quote I read once. “Seek springs of life, and always from above. You’ll forever know the meaning of the ultimate and truest Love.” Remember, God is always with you. And His Love heals. Grab ahold of it and never let go!
