A woman named Curia shared her testimony of being healed from lupus and how God delivered her from depression.
Her Story
Curia grew up in a Christian home, but when she was 20, she “parted ways” with God because of the problems she faced. After losing her marriage, job, and she lost herself in the world of partying and drinking.
“I fell into depression. I fell into anxiety and then my illness started taking a complete turn,” she said.
And then the diagnosis fibromyalgia and lupus came when she was 26 years old.
“So my body was literally eating me. I was slowly dying, dying from the inside out. And I was constantly having a lot of medications that I had to take. I started off with 18 prescription medications. I got carpal tunnel surgery on both of my hands, my bones, and my spine from my main back was already deteriorating. And I had two bulging discs on the very top of my neck and my low back as well,” she said.
Healed From Lupus
Additionally, Curia didn’t want to go out of the house any more and had social anxiety.
Eventually, she became tired of the countless doctors’ visits, medications, the constant migraines, and sterile shots.
“It was never-ending. I know that God could heal and I know because I have seen it firsthand and I have seen the wonders of God. Yet I just kept on going in my direction that I wanted to take,” Curia said.
But her sister told Curia “it’s time.”

“It’s time to change your life, just surrender, give everything to God,” she said.
Initially, she didn’t want to. “But I got to a point where I’m just like… I have my kids with me and my kids are seeing me struggle. I don’t want to continue showing them that struggle.”
God Heals
Furthermore, she said, “I want them to believe that they have a God, a God that does great things, who is there to heal, who is there to restore a life that has been long gone for so many years.”
Curia attended Hungry Gen’s deliverance night. She was ready to fight her fight, just leave everything in the hands of God and let God take over her life completely.
And God did not disappoint her.
“I was set free. I was set free completely. My pain went away. I felt the presence of God over me like I’ve never felt before. I knew that God had already been working through me. And I stopped taking my medication, I had no withdrawals at all. I should have because 10 years is a long time but I had none that night,” she said.
Healed From Lupus And Delivered From Depression
Curia continued to share the miracle God granted to her. She had no more suicidal thoughts and anxiety.
Praise God!
Inclusion, she encouraged everyone who had the same situation like hers: “Don’t stop. Pray. Pray until something actually happens to your life. Don’t leave from here the same. If you came here for a purpose or a reason, let God do what He’s supposed to do. You’re not supposed to carry anything with you. Hand it over to God. I mean we always want to solve our own issues but it’s not our issue to solve. That’s why He died on the cross for us. That’s why we’re here today and at the same time, the beautiful verse always pops into my head which is, “By His wounds, we are healed.” And I was healed.”
