K-LOVE Christian radio host Carlos suggested in one of the radio show’s episodes that the most significant number in the Bible was “zero.”
Numbers
Some numbers have been significant throughout Biblical history, and for many generations, people believe that these numbers convey symbolic messages from God. According to Bible Study, “The Scriptures exhibit a numerical design that can only be explained by the direct inspiration of a Creator.”
Bible Study also noted the number 12 as an example where it was “used to denote our Creator’s establishment of a foundation or to show his perfect authority like the twelve tribes of Israel, the twelve apostles, the twelve Minor Prophets and so on.”Zero
And there are still many other numerical symbols used by God in the Biblical accounts. However, among all these numbers, K-LOVE radio host Carlos suggested one number that he believed to be the most important—one: zero.
“I would argue zero is the most important number,” he said. “Jon Jorgenson wrote this and it makes a lot of sense to me, maybe to you as well: Zero, like the amount of things that can separate us from the love of God. How about zero? The amount of words from God that will fail.”
When Carlos explained the significance of the number zero, his co-host exclaimed how it filled her with hope.
“Because how many times do we count ourselves out thinking ‘I’ve gone too far, I’ve made too many mistakes,’” she said.
Then, Carlos added, “Think about this. The amount of things that you lack when God is your Shepherd. Zero! The amount of things that are impossible with God. Zero! Making zero possibly one of the most important numbers of your life.”
Carlos’ words, though opinionated, remind believers of God’s love.
“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons. Neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow. Not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” -Romans 8:38
