Moving Forward In Repentance

One of my favorite, or probably the favorite modern revivalist of mine is Randy Clark. I have read about this guy over and over and over, and everything that he’s been through in life, the things he’s seen happen and his story just continues to inspire me every time, whether I’ve heard it once before or not.

Whenever he was growing up, he hit every obstacle or battle you can think of. He found the Lord because of his praying grandma. But then he ran away from the Lord for eight months or nine months because of drugs. Then he was in this horrible car accident where he was badly injured and then his best friend died, and then he had this miraculous healing.

So he is set up for this immaculate journey with God the rest of his life at the age of like 19 or 20. And then everything crashes down again. He tried to go to college and seminary, but he was in a bad marriage that ended in divorce. And then when that happened, he couldn’t even get into seminary because he wasn’t remarried yet. Like everything happened to him. But then he started seeing God move in his life. And one of the things that he kept on saying is that, “If God can use little old me, he can use little old you.” And that phrase has just totally rocked my world.

If you think back to Moses, when he was wrestling with God at the burning bush and God’s saying, “I am going to send you to save my people in Egypt,” Moses is like, “No, I can’t do it. I’m not the right one. I’m not as eloquent. I don’t have the the leadership skills or anything else.” And God’s like, “I will put Aaron to help you and enable you to be the leader I’m calling you to be.”

And there is this weapon of repentance, this Kingdom weapon of repentance that we can use and we should be using when we realize that we have put a filter, or we have tried to control the outcome, when really it’s God’s job to control the outcome. And when we realize that the calling of our lives is not only our job to fulfill, we just have to be obedient to what God is telling us to, then we can repent. In the moment we repent, that is a weapon that becomes an enabler for God to move even deeper in our lives.

And so it doesn’t matter the obstacles that can happen. As soon as we repent, as soon as we can tell God, “Yes, you can use little old me,” then He will actually blow your mind with what you can do. In the case of Randy Clark, when he started putting down his own walls, his own ability to control things, his own ability to manage what’s happening, the Holy Spirit rocked him. And in that place, he jumped on a plane, went to Toronto, and the Toronto blessing that unfolded has now impacted generations of millions and millions of people.

So my encouragement to you is, don’t allow yourself to put any control, any filter, any limitation on how God can use you. And if you do, repent. Use that Kingdom weapon of repentance and let God pour back into you, and hit the reset button, and go forward.

So today I want to pray that God will rock your world in a way that you would never, never believe, and that He would allow your repentance, your yes, to unlock the promises that may be being held back in your life, because you think it’s up to you. It’s not up to you. You don’t have to worry about it. Let God handle it. God bless you.

Staying In Your Grace Lane

This is Joseph Z and I wanna share a powerful truth with you that changed my life, and it has to do with staying in your grace lane. Now let me explain. A lot of people begin to discover areas they really want to be in or places they want to go. And sometimes you’re just not graced to do it. But when you find your grace and what you’re really marked and called to do and gifted for, you’ll find peace, you’ll find satisfaction, fulfillment, and you’ll be good at it.

Now, I’ve discovered in both ministry or different areas of society, there’s many people that strive for a position they probably shouldn’t be in, because they have no grace for it. And I’ve seen that before, and the only thing worse than someone being in the wrong lane, is to be empowered in that lane. I’ll take it a step further. You could be empowered in the wrong lane and then it’s even worse than that when you try to pass; you try to go in the passing, or when you have oncoming traffic in the wrong lane. Not good. Now, when people are empowered in the wrong lane, many times you can have good people, you can have kind people, people with good intentions. But even people with good intentions, kind people, they end up in the wrong lane, or now they are empowered in a lane they should have never been in.

Here’s what happens: when pressure comes, they can begin to look like villains. They can look like they’re doing the wrong thing, because they don’t know how to handle the area that they’ve strived so hard to get into, but maybe God has not given them. Now, let me explain to you how to avoid this and how to land in your proper lane, so you can have some great hope today. It comes to us right here out of Romans 12. In Romans 12 and starting out in verse 3 it says, “For I say to you through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, (this is Paul talking) not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think.” Listen carefully, “not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” Now, a measure of faith doesn’t mean somebody has big faith and another has little faith. A measure of faith means we all have a part to play in the faith of God. We all have a part to play in the body of Christ. When Paul says to think not beyond what you ought to think, but to think soberly, is a very key thing to understand.

Please ,if you would, pay attention to this very clear understanding I want to give you. The opposite of thinking soberly is vain imaginations. In other words, imaginations that are not what God has called you to do. When you have a vain imagination, that’s where we get circumstances such as what Genesis 11 describes to us as the Tower of Bable. A lot of people came together and they had vain imaginations of, “We are going to build a tower that will reach the heavens and we’re gonna do all these things.” And God had to put a stop to it, because He did not call them to do that. It was a vain imagination. The Bible says in Psalm chapter 2 that the heathen plot a vain thing. They think with vain imaginations. They come up with lofty ideas that are not from God. Now the way you begin to discover not only your grace lane, but stay away from vain imaginations, is also found in Romans 12:1-2. It says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God (man, this is gonna help you), which is your reasonable service as a believer.” Verse 2 goes on to say, “And do not be conformed to this world, but (what?) be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

In other words, if you have the word of God in your mind, in your will, in your emotions, and you are baptized in the word of God, mixing it with your faith, you read the word of God, the end result will be you will by accident, even, okay, find yourself in the grace lane you belong in. God will position you, He will align you, He will give you favor. You won’t have to strive after things if you truly surrender to the word of God and you renew your mind to it. Man, that is good, good news.

I hope this helps you. Please put it into practice right now and you don’t have to wonder, “Am I thinking a vain imagination?” No. You’ll know you’re in your grace lane. Especially you’ll find your people, your tribe, which means you’ll find your calling, if you begin to renew your mind to the word of God, victory is yours. God wants this for you more than you do, and it will be well with you. Find your grace lane today by renewing your mind to the word. I really hope this helped you today. Jesus is Lord. Understand Who You Are

I have a word of day and I just want to share from my heart to yours, and it has to do with how I grew up. In all honesty, there was a time where, in the world, I was just all over the place. And when Christ came in and took over, my identity shifted completely. And things from that point forward were never the same, right? Life changes. And next, you know, I meet my dream lady and she’s like, I’m looking at this hot, amazing, beautiful woman across the room, and then over time, obviously I brought her into my life and we have kids and we’re increasing in every way. We grew our business. And we’re just like, this is amazing, right? Super blessed.

But I got checked multiple times by people that used to know me before Christ and or friends that were like connected to me now that don’t believe. And they’re just like, man you walk around like this chip on your shoulder, and how much you’ve got and this, that, and the other. Now that’s not what I’m trying to do at all. But what they recognize is something totally different from what they’re missing. And then they say, so you did all this and you accomplished that, but who do you think you are? Because I know who you were before this. I know all that stuff, your backstory, right? And it’s true. They do, but they don’t know what God did in me, right? And that’s why they don’t have a connection to it, they have that almost this gap. We all know that when God comes in, He fills the gap, and that’s still there that hole in them, inside their heart. They’re just like striving and trying to, however to just match, however, they can match that. Right? But in the world’s eye, there’s not going to be the accomplishment of what God can do within.

And so I want right now, I just wanna encourage you. God calls you His child. God calls you in so many ways ‘greater than.’ You can do greater than, you’re more than a conquerer. There’s so many awesome terms that He has, and He wants to share with you personally. And all you have to do is jump in the Word and recognize those things. Hey, that’s how God sees me, and how He has plans for me is so, so huge, huge, huge. So that alone, hopefully, that will encourage you to take on and grab onto the identity that God calls you to.
