Joyce Meyer turned her painful season into an opportunity to inspire others by writing the book “Don’t Over Think It”.

“You never know what’s gonna happen.” Joyce started with these words as she shared on her Talk It Out podcast what she experienced for almost three months.
The author, speaker, and teacher had to have back surgery. It was supposed to be a two-week recovery, but suddenly, she experienced the worst pain in her life. “It was worse than having a baby,” Joyce described. She was down on the floor on her hands and knees, asking her family members to get her to a hospital. Later on, she found out that there was a blood clot at the surgery site – the reason why she was experiencing a lot pain.
She stayed in the rehabilitation hospital for 14 days and underwent physical therapy. The ordeal lasted for 2 months and a half, but throughout the process, Joyce acknowledged that prayer played a great role in her recovery. During that time wrote a book called “Don’t Overthink It.”
Don’t Overthink it.
“There’s no point in trying to get answers to questions that only God has that He’s probably not going to tell you.” Joyce shared. Sometimes, people drive themselves crazy trying to figure things out and it leads to confusion. That is why looking at problems through a different lens is so important.
“You got to watch your thinking,” Joyce stressed this point to the viewers and listeners of her podcast. “Don’t let the devil use your mind as a garbage dump.” She reminded the audience to think about what they’ve been taught about God.
