Social media influencer Tiffany Fernandez shared a valuable insight with believers, emphasizing the significance of taking accountability for our wrongdoings as a vital aspect of our Christian journey.
Sanctification After Accepting Jesus
The moment an individual accepts Jesus as their Lord and Savior, the process of sanctification begins for that new Christian. This signifies that they receive a new life in Christ, and through abiding in Him, they experience the transformative power of God. Paul eloquently expressed this truth to the church of Corinth in 2 Corinthians 5:17, stating, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”

Hence, every Christian is a new creation in Jesus. However, it is essential to recognize that this does not mean they become instantly perfect. No one is flawless, but a believer is continually perfected through Christ. It is solely through Jesus, by grace through faith, that this transformation occurs.
That being said, there may be moments when a Christian falters and stumbles in their walk with God because they are still in the process of sanctification, gradually growing to be more like Christ. In these instances, the essence of God’s grace is to guide His people towards rising again and aligning themselves with His righteousness. God’s grace empowers His children to lead a holy life in the presence of God.

Further, she added, “But sometimes the reason why we don’t see God’s promises fulfilled in our life is because of our ignorance, disobedience, and behaviors. It’s not because God lies or He is purposely holding back, it’s because God gave you a word and you ignored it. It’s because God told you to do something but you thought you knew better so you did something else. God is waiting for your obedience.”
