5-year-old Worship Leader
On May 1, 2009, a video of the then 5-year-old Kaitlyn Ashley Maher went viral! In the video, she was seen leading the congregation at the Christian Fellowship Church to worship. Despite being just 5-years-old she was able to beautifully sing an original rendition of the 2001 worship song “Above All” by Michael W. Smith.

Kaitlyn was born in Novi, Michigan on January 10, 2004, and was raised in Ashburn, Virginia. She first explored her career as a singer when she was just four. In 2008, she joined the third season of America’s Got Talent. She finished in the top 10 of the popular singing contest and was labeled as the youngest contestant to ever reach that level.
Soon after her viral video captured while she leads the worship, she signed a recording deal. At the very young age of 5, she released her debut album titled “You Were Meant To Be.” She even appeared in movies including “The Search For Santa Paws,” and its sequel.
God-given talent
Even after years, she continued to showcase her God-given talent. In 2013, Kaitlyn cast in “The Goodwin Games” in the role of Piper Goodwin. She also provided the voice of Grace in “Russell Madness” which was released on February 21, 2015.
Today, she is still continuing to create faith-based songs that speaks so much to people’s lives. In March 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, Kaitlyn posted a song on her YouTube channel. It is a song that tells her listeners how God loves and values them.
“This song is for all the people who have struggled to make it through the day,” she wrote. “Never forget you are LOVED and you are VALUABLE!”
