Jesse Bradley previously played as a goalkeeper in different countries including Scotland, Zimbabwe, and the U.S. After leaving his career as a professional soccer player, he became a pastor and an evangelist. He is now the lead pastor at Grace Community Church in Auburn, Washington.
In a recent interview, the former athlete shared how he is now on a digital mission to reach World Cup fans with the Gospel. Since they started their campaign, they have seen thousands surrender their lives to Christ.
“We’re able to create content where we share the Gospel. I share my story, and people are making decisions to follow Jesus,” he said. “We’re reaching millions of people. We’re seeing over 18,000 already make first-time decisions.”

Global Media Outreach [GMO] became Jesse’s partner on this mission. GMO is a company that is leveraging technology to spread the Gospel. After leading them to Jesus Christ, they also ensure that these people are connected to a Church and are being discipled.
“They … follow up, and we help those people find a church,” he said. “So, it’s not just decisions; it’s disciples.”
The professional soccer player turned pastor also emphasized that there is something, or someone, greater than soccer, and that is a relationship with God.
“We all know there’s something much more significant than soccer that we need,” he said. “And I discovered it myself later in life, but our souls are content, and we have joy in peace when we discover a relationship with [God].”
