Hollywood voice actor James Arnold Taylor nearly lost his voice due to a disease. However, he trusted God throughout the journey, and He brought restoration.
Voice Actor James Arnold Taylor
Since he was a kid, James Arnold Taylor has always loved dubbing cartoons. He pursued that path until he landed a job opportunity that caught the attention of agents. Eventually, he achieved his dream and became a successful voice actor in cartoons.

Some of the cartoons James voiced were Obi-Wan Kenobi in “Star Wars,” Fred in “The Flintstones,” and Leonardo in “Ninja Turtles.” But amidst his prominence as a voice actor, an unexpected event threatened his career. One day, James suddenly lost his voice.
Losing His Voice
On February 13, 2005, the voice actor and his wife discovered that they had moved into a new home that had black mold. Consequently, six different types of molds entered James’s bloodstream, causing unusual symptoms in his body, including the loss of his voice. As a result, the doctor advised him not to use his voice. This all occurred while he was pursuing a lawsuit regarding the house with black mold and in the process of adopting a child.
Despite the bad news and feeling overwhelmed by everything, James trusted God throughout the journey. Therefore, the voice actor and his wife would pray on their knees every day. James also began extensive therapy to aid in his recovery at that point. Additionally, he changed his lifestyle and adopted a healthy diet. He realized that his voice was a gift from God and he needed to steward it well.
Redemption
Later, when their adoption process was finally approved, James discovered that their baby girl was born on February 13, 2005—the same day that he was diagnosed with the disease and lost his voice. It was at that moment he realized that God intended to redeem what was supposed to be the worst day of his life.
