In a sermon about love, Joyce teaches how love is not just a word. She spoke from her own experience and said,
“Love is something. It’s not just a word. It’s something that people can feel…It heals. Real love is what heals broken hearts.”
God provided a miracle in her life one day, when she met her husband. It’s a story of redemption and the goodness of God that brings hope to people. Something profound Joyce said was, “You never know when your miracles are gonna drive up in front of your house.”
God Can Redeem Your Story
We can’t always control how life goes. Things happen and sometimes circumstances are out of our control, like in the story of Joyce Meyer. However, the one thing we can do is to trust that God is good and that He loves us. Let’s look at some scripture to find the truth about who God is.
“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it” (Psalm 139:1-6).
This Psalm also promises that God has written a book about you. He knows all of your days. “Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was none of them” (Psalm 139:16).
Look at what Job said in Job 19:25, “For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth.”
That is a powerful declaration coming from someone who had endured a lot of pain. A key to overcoming is to declare who God is and how He sees you. His love for you is steadfast. Will you let God write your story?

Application
First, think of all the ways that you have seen the hand of God in your life. Were there times when you were struggling, and He answered your prayers? Make a list of those times and thank Jesus for them. A thankful heart can change our whole perspective and it is an offering of praise to God.
Next, just receive the Father’s love for you. Believe that He loves you. If your heart has been broken, simply tell Him. Ask Him to help you heal and to redeem your story. Will you let God write your story? He has a hope and a future for you.
Declare Psalm 27:13,
“I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living!”
Prayer
God, I thank you that your love for me is steadfast. I ask for you to redeem my story and to restore all that has been lost. I want to trust you more, because I know that you are good! Jesus, take my past and I thank you for my future. My future is bright because of you! Amen.
