Dan Mohler is Todd White’s pastor and a well-known preacher. In one of the preachings he did years ago, pastor Dan asked his congregation something that Jesus would never do. He asked them to imagine Jesus dropping the cross. It is to emphasize that our human flesh would be dropping the cross if we were in that position.
“Can you imagine Jesus dropping the cross? ‘I’ve had enough! You people didn’t change by now, you’ll never change. I’ve done nothing but good. You broke my heart and broke my trust time and time again. Even if you say I’m sorry, how do I know you won’t still do it? I’m done with you. I’ve had enough!'”

Jesus dropping the cross
At some point in our time, we have given up helping those people whose heart has been hardened. We have judged other people based on their lifestyle and what they’re doing. But Jesus never did those things. Jesus never gave up on us while we were still sinners. And Jesus never judged us according to our sins.
“Everyone of us in this room has felt like that and talked like that and treated one another like that. And we can’t even imagine Jesus doing that.”
Transformative love of God
What Jesus did was to show us how He loves us even though we’re still sinners. Jesus offered us salvation, Jesus softened our hearts, and transformed us from glory to glory.
“The reason He does what He does is to set the example to become what He is. He doesn’t just want to lavish you in love, He wants to transform you in love.”
May the life Jesus lived here on earth be an example for us of how to live a righteous life loving everyone. That’s what Jesus wanted us to do, to be Christ-like and to show God’s love to the people.
