It was as if time stopped at Times Square as the world-renowned singer stood and sang for the crowd. Andrea celebrated the upcoming release of his movie with a serenade for his fans.
“The Journey” is produced by the Christian network TBN. It will be in theaters this Lenten season, from April 2 to 9. It follows the story of Andrea and his wife, Veronica, as they share their journey of faith, hope, and family.
The film will also feature performances from the talented singer and other famous Christian artists. The list includes Michael W. Smith, 2CELLOS, Tori Kelly, Clara Barbier Serrano, Tauren Wells, TAYA, 40 Fingers, and Katherine Jenkins. They will also join Andrea in visiting the burial sites of apostles and saints.
Remembering the lives of the saints and apostles made them meditate on their faith and ideals. Andrea told Christian Post, “Together with my daughter, we prayed and contemplated the strength of those who are willing to sacrifice their short existence for their religion, faith, and ideals.”
Moreover, they will also travel and reflect on the beauty of the scenic view of Italy’s hillsides and valleys. Their travel, according to Andrea, is not just about enjoying the landscape. It was “spiritual in nature, not places but values.” “To be discovered further together with our travel friends: peace, forgiveness, faith, family hope and prayer,” he added.
Andrea hopes that the film will bless families and will be used as a tool to reflect on their faith, especially this Lenten season.
“For me, it’s been a very spiritual moment/experience,” he told the Christian Post. “I really hope that people watching this movie can find a new, deeper hope and faith.”
