Worship singer Michael W Smith talked about being hurt by the church and the truth about Jesus Christ.

The Grammy Award-winning Christian artist has been featured in “The Journey: A Music Special from Andrea Bocelli,” a new faith-based film. It follows Andrea and his wife, Veronica, as they ride on horseback through beautiful hills and valleys of the Italian countryside. In the film, the two discussed about faith, hope, family, and their friends, including Michael.
“The Journey: A Music Special from Andrea Bocelli” was produced by the Christian broadcasting network, TBN, and will be in theatres from April 2 (Palm Sunday) through April 9 (Easter Sunday). It also features other artists including Tori Kelly, Tauren Wells, and TAYA. In an interview during the film’s premiere, Michael shared a powerful message with everyone.
“Jesus is the answer. That’s just plain and simple,” he said.

Truth about Jesus Christ
He also talked about how the church previously hurt him but was redeemed by God.
“I think a lot of people maybe have been burned by the church and they’ve had some not-so-good experiences in church. I’m one of them. But it wasn’t catastrophic for me. Thank God my mom and dad were amazing. But to me, this whole thing is about identity. It’s all about identity,” he added.
Michael also shared the truth about Jesus Christ: that he loves everyone.
“When you fully get this revelation that Jesus really is who He said He was, that He not only loves you, but He actually really likes you. Not only does He like you, but He’s also extremely fond of you. He just wants to have a relationship with you. Everything changes!”
If everyone could see the truth about Jesus Christ, then people will see the world from a very different perspective.
“I am a testimony of one who was dead and got brought back because of my Savior and my Jesus and what He did for me.”
