Jesus Visits An Orphan Girl In Thailand And Gives Her A Message

Dr. Al and Terry Pruvis went on a mission trip, and they met an orphan girl in Thailand. It was only after this girl saw something in the couple’s house that she realized it was Jesus who visited and talked to her.

Refugees In Thailand

While being there, they witness a village full of refugees with no one to look after them.

“We went to Thailand to gather orphans from refugee camps, and there were a hundred thousand of them with nobody to look after them… We felt like total failures,” were his words.

They sought God through prayer for His direction and guidance. And God answered.

“[We] made the connections; God opened the doors. And wonderful, beautiful, smelly little kids came in, and we’re working on getting them cleaned up. I mean, they had stuff in their hair and stuff on their skin,” he said.

A Little Orphan Girl In Thailand Met Jesus

Then they saw an orphan girl who would eventually become one of their adopted children.

This little girl became an orphan after her mother stepped on a landmine. And because she the oldest she began to take care of her siblings.

“She’s looking after two younger sisters, a toddler. Well, the mom was dying. I mean she died and only lasted a few minutes. And then somebody put them in a little hut that only had half a roof on it. They’re sitting beside the road. The soldiers are coming and going, and then they’re begging for food. But nobody’s got anything,” Dr. Al recalled.

A Little Orphan Girl In Thailand Met Jesus

Dr. Al and Terry Pruvis adopted her and her siblings. But this little girl saw something in their house.

She saw a picture of Jesus on the wall, and she said, “That man came into our hut.”

“And He said, “Don’t worry, I’m preparing a place for you,”” the little girl recalled.

While sharing the story, Dr. Al couldn’t help but cry. Then he said, “You see that? And we started realizing, it’s just not about us. It is who God wants us to be a redeemer. God wants us to prepare a place for somebody else. God wants us to prepare a church where other people can be healed and delivered.”

Pray: 24 Children And 12 Others Lost Their Lives In Thailand Daycare Massacre

A former police officer took the lives of 24 children and 12 others at a daycare center in Uthai Sawan, Thailand.

Thailand Daycare Massacre

On October 6, 36 people, including 24 young children lost their lives in a daycare massacre. The killer has been identified as Panya Kamrab, a 34-year-old former Thai police officer who has been recently fired due to drug allegations last year.

Reports say that the attacker was in court that morning to face the trial of his drug charges. He arrived at the Child Development Center in Uthaisawan Na Klang district of the Nong Bua Lamphu province around noon to pick up his child. However, when he didn’t find his child there, he went on to attack people.

“He started shooting, slashing, killing children at the Uthai Sawan daycare center,” police spokesperson Paisal Luesomboon said in a statement.

Former Police Officer

He shot and killed five school officials and then forced his way into a locked room where young children were sleeping. He then used a knife to take the lives of many of the children and several teachers, including an 8 months pregnant teacher.

“It’s a scene that nobody wants to see. From the first step when I went in, it felt harrowing,” emergency worker and first responder team leader Piyalak Kingkaew said in an interview. “We’ve been through it before, but this incident is most harrowing because they are little kids.”

He then went home and shot his wife and 2-year-old stepson before committing suicide.

It is so heartbreaking to hear about the lives of innocent young children being taken away. We mourn for those who have lost their loved ones during this horrifying attack. Let us pray for the comfort of the families involved. May the presence of the Lord be upon them as they get grieve the loss of their beloved ones.

Struggling Fisherman Accidentally Discovers Rare Melo Pearl Worth $320,000

A financially struggling fisherman from Thailand accidentally discovered an extremely rare Melo pearl worth $320,000 while walking at the beach.

Hatchai Niyomdecha, a fisherman from Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, was struggling to meet his family’s basic needs due to the limited pay he earns from being a fisherman. So when he accidentally found a rare item that is worth so much, he was ecstatic as he thought this might be an answer to his family’s situation.

On January 27, Hatchai and his family were picking up shells while they were walking at the beach near their home. They stumbled upon a discarded buoy washed ashore with many shells in it. They also saw three snail shells stuck to it and they also took those home.

Melo Pearl

Upon arriving home, they gave the shells to their 60-year-old father to have them cleaned up. That was when he discovered a bright orange pearl in one of the snail shells. The pearl was a little bigger than a quarter.

It turns out that they had accidentally discovered an extremely rare Melo pearl that would cost about $320,000. Melo pearls are formed by sea snails known as the Melo Melo. That kind of pearl ranges from orange to tan to brown in color. Orange is known to be the most expensive shade.

Pearl’s worth

A few days after the family’s discovery, a wealthy businessman from another province offered to buy the pearl for $33,276. The family declined the offer. Another luxury item collector offered $166,555 for the rare pearl; however, the family again declined, believing that the pearl was worth so much more.

Another buyer from China also heard about the pearl and offered the 37-year-old fisherman $333,111 for the pearl. The family agreed and the buyer is set to visit Thailand next week to see the pearl for himself.

Hatchai believes that the Melo pearl was a gift from God and it would be his family’s key out of poverty.

“I want to sell the pearl for the highest price. The money won’t just change my life… My whole family will have better lives.”

Thai Church Holds Record-Breaking Baptism Right After Nation Effectively Contained Pandemic

A Thai church held a record-breaking night of baptisms right after Thailand effectively contained the coronavirus pandemic.

Thailand was the first nation outside China to be hit by the coronavirus. Analysts feared a long-term and overwhelming outbreak, however, that was not what happened. The country is now being praised as one of the only places worldwide that were able to effectively contain the virus.

A countrywide lockdown and continued precaution were observed in the country. In the first week of September, the nation celebrated 100 days without a positive case of COVID-19. A few days after the declaration, the Free in Jesus Christ Church Association (FJCCA) celebrated another milestone of their own for their record-breaking mass baptism.

Largest Baptism

The Thai church held its largest baptism in history and claims also the largest in the history of Thailand. On September 6, FJCCA baptized 1,435 people from 200 villages in five cities in the nation.

During the 2-hour event, ministers lined up across the waist-level reservoir. To proclaim their faith and be baptized, one-by-one, new believers came from the shore.

Gospel

Bob Craft of the Reach A Village ministry, a ministry that supports the FJCCA, believed that it is God who has allowed the Gospel to spread during this testing time.

“It is truly a mystery to the world as to why Thailand has been spared during the COVID pandemic,” Bob said. “We believe it is the merciful hand of God to allow the gospel to spread at this crucial time.”

Record-breaking

In 2019, the same church also held the largest baptism the predominantly Buddhist country has ever seen. They were able to baptize 520 people, the recent baptism was nearly triple its size.

Newly Married Doctors Helped Road Accident Victim On Their Way To Their Wedding Reception

Newly married doctors stopped to help victims of a traffic accident on their way to their wedding reception.

Newly married doctors

Sarah and Jonathan were doctors that had just been married and were on their way to their wedding reception. They were foreign tourists in Krabi, Thailand when they decided to get married. Despite being off-duty from their medical work, the couple still showed how dedicated they were to save lives on their wedding day.

On February 17, the two doctors had just finished their wedding ceremony and were on their way to a hotel for their wedding banquet. While on the road, the newly married doctors witnessed a pick-up truck and motorcycle collide in the Nong Thale sub-district of Krabi.

Road crash

The motorcycle driver was lying on the ground with injures to both legs. Both Sarah and Jonathan didn’t hesitate to help the injured 21-year-old. They called to authorities to report the accident. They waited for the rescue team, the couple treated the man with first aid and made sure he was safe.

Jonathan held the man’s head stable until the paramedics came. While Sarah was treating his leg injuries after diverting traffic. They were still both wearing their wedding gown and suit but they didn’t mind. They were just concerned for the man.

The young man’s injuries were, thankfully, not life-threatening. He was immediately rushed to the hospital after the rescue team arrived for further treatment.

Heroic act

Before the doctors were identified the story of their heroic act went viral on social media. Former rescue unit volunteer Somsak Srijan captured the touching moment in a video and uploaded it on social media. It was also Somsak who identified the couple like Sarah and Jonathan.

This story of heroism that proves that no one is ever “too busy” to help others!

9 Reasons Why the Thailand Cave Rescue Was Miraculous

We could see the Hand of God on the miraculous ‘Great Escape’ of the ‘Wild Boar’ youth football team, but now it has been confirmed by missionaries serving in Thailand.

The unknown and extraordinary details of the miracle Jesus did in Thailand in recent days:

1. The boys and their football coach were found and rescued in the most impossible of situations.

2. The rope the British diver was using to guide them into the cave ended, so he went up to catch air and at that moment he found the boys sitting in front of him! He said that if the rope was longer, it would have continued underwater and he would not have found the boys and their coach!

3. Only one of the boys knew English and could communicate with the British diver. He is the only Christian in the group and he learned the language through a missionary project that takes place in his small church.

4. The monsoon rains held off during the rescue mission for three days and did not hamper the operation, although it rained in surrounding areas.

5. As soon as the last diver left the cave (after all the boys were safe) the pump that was pumping out water from the cave broke (It would have been a disaster if this had happened before the rescue was complete!!!)

6. It rained all morning following the rescue and the cave is now completely flooded.

7. All the boys were rescued and are in surprising health, which has baffled the Buddhist doctors. “We do not know how to explain this” they said.

8. The rescue action required people working together through linguistic and cultural barriers. Important decisions were made in consensus to see the plans were implemented. The rescue is a credit to the excellent work and determination of a team made up of so many different people and nationalities. The only Brazilian volunteer in the operation was the missionary, Tati Araujo, who translated conversations between the English and Thai divers, authorities and foreign military.

9. The Church of Jesus Christ throughout the world, united to cry to God for His intervention in the impossible plight of these young men. Disciples from every corner of the earth prayed, hoping that the Lord could make the impossible happen… and it did!

Without doubt, God made this miracle that the world witnessed and that has touched so many people’s hearts! Now is the time to celebrate the power and grace of God, who, unlike the Buddhist rites, did not need offerings or sacrifices, but in love, He launched Himself once more in history to rescue those who were lost.

May our response be gratitude and worship to the only God who has all the power in His resurrected hands.

Thai Cave Rescue – Pray for a Miraculous Escape

Imagine being lost in the bowels of the earth for days on end with little hope of being rescued. Then, the relief of finally being found after nine days, only to hear that you may have to stay trapped underground for months. This is a tough enough dilemma for adults but how much more of a terrifying ordeal it is for 12 boys aged 11-16 and their 25-year-old coach.

Yet this is the exact situation the young football team trapped in Thailand are facing right now, after they ventured into the Tham Luang Nang Non cave complex, only to find their way back flooded by the rising waters of the Monsoon rains. It seems the boys went exploring after a soccer game on June 23 and couldn’t make their way back to the surface a kilometre away.

Kion 5/46 News Channel illustrates the severity of the problem in the graphic above which shows the submerged passages the boys will need to venture through to escape.

The world has quickly responded with an international rescue mission, however there are no easy options to evacuate the team. The only way out is through a dangerous diving exercise, via narrow flooded passageways in zero visibility and with very little room to move especially while using oxygen tanks. Already a navy seal has sadly lost his life trying to rescue the boys and they are not accomplished divers, some of them can’t even swim.

Another option is for the boys to remain in the cave for the duration of the Monsoon rainy season, until the water subsides naturally but that seems to be the most psychologically challenging, despite the fact that the team are putting on a very brave face.

There is also the possibility that the authorities may dig a shaft deep into the mountain to rescue the boys. This is how the Chilean miners were rescued in 2010 after being trapped for 69 days, however that is a huge undertaking and will also take time. In the meantime the Thai authorities are trying to pump water out of the caves and preempt rising water levels from further downpours with more rain forecast. The BBC explains these escape options:

Pray for the Thai Cave Rescue

We thank God that these lost boys have been found and pray that He will bring them back home safely. God does not want even one to perish. Jesus is the Good Shepherd who goes looking for that lost sheep and after a nine-day search these boys have been found. They have not been found to now perish.

Let’s intercede for these boys and their coach that God would come through for them in a miraculous way, giving divine strategy to their rescuers, that He would strengthen each one of them and give them the courage to follow through on whatever rescue option is decided. We also pray for their parents in their hour of trial as they anxiously await the return of their children.

May this very real experience of what hell could be like, trapped underground, put them on a life-long quest to seek God and find salvation in Jesus.

An invitation of hope

It seems ironic that while the world’s best football teams are fighting for a World Cup title, this young football team is fighting for its very survival. It’s inspiring though, that the president of FIFA, Gianni Infantino has sent a message of encouragement to the boys, expressing the hope that they will be out in time to attend the Cup Final on July 15th as his special guests.

What an invitation for these young footballers, like their rescue it seems impossible, but it’s bound to bring them hope! For Christians we know our hope is in God and that He can make a way where there seems to be no way. A much greater invitation of hope goes out to these young men, that they would come to know Jesus and be saved in more ways than one. Join us as we trust God to do the impossible for these boys. Let’s stand in the gap for them, in earnest intercession, praying that God will bring them home safely to their loved ones. That they would truly come out of darkness and into the light.
