A Tennessee family is leaning on their faith after a swimming accident left their 7-year-old daughter paralyzed.

Sarah Faulkner was swimming in Hurricane Creek at Loretta Lynn’s campground when an accident happened. A teenager jumped from a 30-foot rock and landed right on the 7-year-old girl’s back. She hit her head on the bottom of the creek before being able to swim to the surface to scream for help.
The young girl was immediately taken to t hospital in Nashville for emergency surgery. Sarah had to have 19 staples in her skull and the doctors repaired her fractured spine to save her life. The surgery was successful; however, her injuries left her paralyzed. Doctors told her family that they have never seen anyone with such injuries walk again.

The Faulkner family believe that God is a miracle-working God. They held onto their faith after the tragedy and prays for a miracle for little Sarah.
“I believe God can and will heal my daughter, I need a miracle. My wife needs a miracle. My children need a miracle. You need a miracle. Our country needs a miracle to show that God is real and God is alive,” Sarah’s father, Tre, said.
The Tennessee family is a Christ-centered family that resides in Christiana, Rutherford County. They are very close to each other and they often do things together. Prayers from people around the world are being said for the healing of Sarah.
“We’re asking God for a miracle that can’t even be explained,” the family said. “That God will heal her, and he’s healing her now!”
Prayer for miracle
A GoFundMe page has also been set up to aid in the medical needs of the little girl. As for the teenage girl who was involved in the accident, the family has already forgiven her and even prayed for her.
“And I asked her [Sarah] what she thought we should do with this girl, And she said we should forgive. So, we literally prayed for the girl… And what we want to do as a family is we want to be used by God to express the same type of love that Jesus did when he hung on the cross for the world.”
