16-Year-Old Boy Who Murdered A Teenager Becomes A Servant of Christ

A 16-year-old boy who murdered a teenager became a servant of Christ more than 27 years later. He is now helping other ex-convicts by leading them to Jesus as they transition to a brand new changed life.

Murdered A Teenager

Ronald, “Ronnie,” Olivier grew up on the tough streets of New Orleans where drugs and violence were rampant. As a child, it was difficult when his dad moved away and left him, leaving him feeling abandoned. Later, when the crack epidemic hit, he got caught up in the violent norms of the environment.

At 16 years old, Ronnie became acquainted with violence, drugs, and robbery. One day, an altercation with other teenagers totally changed the course of his life as he shot one of them. A 14-year-old boy passed away after being hit by a gunshot.

Crying Out To Jesus

Two days later, authorities arrested Ronnie for murder, and he had to await the decision on whether he would receive the death penalty. Horror and fear overwhelmed the teen boy, and he suddenly remembered what his praying mom had taught him as a child.

“She told me ‘If you’re ever in trouble that I can’t get you out, you call on Jesus,’” he recounted.

Ronnie began to cry out to Jesus inside his cell, pleading with Him. Then, he told God, “Lord, if You don’t let them kill me, I promise You, I’ll serve You the rest of my life.” And all of a sudden, he felt peace and security in his heart. He knew everything was going to be all right.

Ronnie accepted Jesus inside his cell at that point. He then went to Angola, a maximum security prison, where he met people who helped him grow in his newfound relationship with God. Pastors began mentoring him and teaching him. Even during his 27 years in the maximum-security prison, he experienced love, freedom, peace, and security.

Teenager Finds 1,600-year-old Gold Bead From City Of David Dig

An 18-year-old young woman recently unearthed a rare bit of ancient jewelry along the Pilgrimage Road in Jerusalem. Hallel Feidman, a volunteer with a project called the Archaeological Experience, was sifting through dirt from a “grandiose” Roman structure on the Pilgrimage Road in the City of David when she spotted something glimmering in the debris.

“I remember that I poured the bucket into the strainer and started to wash the rubble. I then suddenly saw, in the corner of the filter, something shiny, something I don’t usually see. To confirm what I was thinking, I went to the archaeologist, who confirmed that I had found a gold bead,” said Feidman. “Everyone here was in tremendous excitement.”

The bead Feidman found is tiny (just a few millimeters in size), and according to Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) ancient jewelry expert Dr. Amir Golani, it required an extraordinary level of craftsmanship to create. It is made up of more than a dozen granules of pure gold that have been soldered together. The bead was most likely part of a necklace or bracelet that perhaps broke and scattered.

Finding gold at an archaeological site is extremely rare, Golani explained.

“Throughout all my years in archaeology, I have found gold perhaps once or twice, so to find gold jewelry is something very, very special. Whoever could afford a piece like this made from gold was a wealthy person of means,” Golani said.

“The most interesting aspect of the bead is its unique and complex production method. A good understanding of the materials and their properties is required, as well as control over the heat, in order to, on the one hand, solder the tiny balls together to create a tiny ring while also preventing overheating, which may lead all the gold to melt,” Golani said. “Only a professional craftsman could produce such a bead, which is another reason that this find holds great value.”

The head of the IAA, Eli Escusido, also was awed by the intricacies of the beadwork. “Even with today’s advanced technology, creating something like this would be very complex. A close examination of this object fills one with a deep sense of admiration for the technical skill and ability of those who came before us many centuries ago.”

Teenager Who Miraculously Survived Head-On Collision With A Train Meets Driver 1 Year After

The teenager who miraculously survived a head-on collision with a train meets the driver one year after the accident that almost took his life.

Teenager miraculously survived

Ishaan Prasaad is being hailed as a walking miracle for surviving a horrific accident when a fast-moving train hit him head-on. The incident happened one year ago while he was riding his bicycle to school down the roads of New Zealand. However, things didn’t go well that day.

He hit the train with his head, shattering a light on the side of the train. He seemed to be in a terrible condition before the paramedic arrived. The teenager was immediately rushed to the hospital. He suffered severe injuries from his head down to his feet.

“His injuries were very bad,” Ishaan’s mom recalled. “He was badly injured right through from his head to his feet.”

This week, he miraculously recovered from the incident and can now walk. He even gave a speech about his testimony during the Rail Safety in Wellington. There, he was also given the chance to meet one of the drivers of the train at the time of the crash, Jamie Kauika. Ishaan’s mom described their meeting as very emotional.

“It was emotional to meet him and hear him talk about what happened on that day and how he felt,” she said.

Jamie is also very happy to see Ishaan in good condition after recovering from the horrifying accident.

“I didn’t go to hospital … and I had just seen him on the side of the road and it did not look very good at all,” the driver recalled. “So I’m very happy for his family and for himself that he is actually here.”

It is truly a miracle that Ishaan has overcome what he has been through.

“In that sense,” she said, “…It is a miracle he is standing on his feet and walking and passing on this message of rail safety.”

Ishaan is still on his journey toward total recovery, let us pray for the teenage boy to be completely healed in Jesus’ name.

Missing Elderly Man With Dementia

The miracle never stops and we could never stop praising God with all He has done even in the past. In 2017 in Mississippi, an elderly man with dementia had the whole neighborhood worried when he got lost and went missing. His loved ones took the incident to social media and asked for help. Then Katy Qualls, who also knew the elderly man, saw the post. She got worried, then asked her parents if she could go and search for the missing elderly as well. The teen told them that she couldn’t “go to sleep until this person was found.”

“I was just thinking about if that was my grandfather or somebody,” she said. “It just didn’t sit right with me.”

God Guides Katy

Hence, Katy went out even with the cold weather. She walked alongside the whole community and rescue teams, searching for the lost grandpa. But soon, she walked a different route from all the search teams and miraculously found him.

“I walked around and I’m feeling like this is good,” the teen explained. “I hear something, I turn to my left and he’s laying (sic) on the floor on his side, backed up into the bushes. He blended in with the mulch, so you wouldn’t have seen him unless you actually walked into the bushes.”

Katy then calmed the elderly with her gentle words so he would come with her.

“I’m here to help you,” she told him. “I know your son, I know your grandkids.” And finally, the elderly man was rescued.

Later on, Katy credited God for leading her to the place where the elderly man was located.

“I realized it was just all God,” she testified. “He led me there. I truly believe He made that happen for a reason. With all the stuff that’s happened in my life recently, I feel like He has a plan for me. And I don’t know what it is, but I know it’s going to be helping people.”

Teenager Boldly Leads Family & Entire Tribe To Jesus In Pakistan

A Pakistani teenager who became a Christian led his family and entire tribe to follow Jesus in one of the most dangerous countries to be a Christian.

Pakistani Teenager Becomes A Christian

In a Mission News Network (MNN) report, a 17-year-old teen evangelized his entire tribe to embrace Jesus. This remarkable testimony happened after “Rehan,” his pseudonym, gave his life to Jesus.

According to the report, Rehan worked as a waiter when he met a Christian. The Christian guy, Safdar, was a truck driver who partnered with a missions group called FMI. He gave the teen an audio Bible to which he listened to. Then soon, the teen came to Safdar to talk about God and the Bible. Finally, he accepted Jesus and was baptized. But the story didn’t end there as he became an evangelist.

Leading Entire Tribe To Jesus

Rehan soon boldly shared Jesus with his family, then with his community members. Despite the threats of intense persecution Christians face in Pakistan, it didn’t stop the teen from sharing the Gospel. Perhaps the fullness of the Holy Spirit gave him strength and courage to do what he must do.

According to Open Doors USA’s “2022 World Watch List” notes, “Pakistan is one of the most dangerous countries in the world to be a Christian.” It ranks eighth on the list.

“In Pakistan, Christians are considered second-class citizens and are discriminated against in every aspect of life,” said Open Doors. “Church leaders can be arrested if they don’t abide by the authorities’ wishes. These arrests act as warnings to the Christian minority and intimidates them further.”

Hence, the 17-year-old’s parents felt scared at first. But they eventually received Christ as Rehan pressed on.

Further, Rehan also invited missionaries to minister to his entire tribe and share the Gospel, said Nehemiah, who works for FMI. And many accepted Christ. Now, their 60-person tribe stopped participating in Muslim prayer and followed Jesus instead.

“One evening, he gathered all the tribe’s members under one big tent,” Nehemiah told MNN. “First, Rehan showed a movie about Jesus. Then, an FMI partner shared a 15-minute devotion about new hope in Christ. That day, a 17-year-old boy led his whole tribe to the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Let’s continue to pray for God’s covering and protection for them as they continue to spread the Gospel in the entire region in Pakistan.

Church Rejection Led Teenager To Depression Until God Came To Him

A Christian teenager felt constant rejection from his church that led him to a deep depression. Until God personally came to him and revealed the Father’s Love.

Rejection From Church

Cory Williams never saw God as a loving Father despite growing up in church. Instead, he saw Him as a “corrective father ready to beat you back into submission rather than He had grace.”

At 16-years-old, he gave his life to Christ. However, instead of finding hope, he felt a constant rejection from church leaders, ministers, and pastors in the church. They treated him like he needed to work to earn God’s love. Because of that, he couldn’t sing in the choir unless he reached a certain level of holiness. Neither would they allow him to join them in group dinners. And whenever he received prayer, it was always about God not being pleased with him.

Trying To Earn God’s Love

“I thought because I had to earn their love, apparently, that’s how God feels as well,” Cory recalled.

When people told him he wasn’t good enough, Cory started prayer and fasting, reading the Bible for hours so they could accept him. But after constant rejection from those in the church, it pushed him to a season of isolation. And then he fell into a deep depression.

God Came To Him

Cory ran away for a month, and no one sought him out. And when he came back to church, the pastor had a revelation that he was going to hell. The next thing he knew, the teen drowned himself with alcohol and women to fill the pain in his heart.

One night, Cory decided to end his life, but suddenly, he saw a vision of an angel.

“Today, I’m gonna break the power of depression off your life. That you’re called to reach the nations. He said that ‘to pursue purpose and to not be afraid of the faces of people,’” he recounted. And when Cory woke up, he was never the same again.

Every Christian Teenager Should Know…

1. Get plugged into a local church body

One of the most crucially important things for a Christian to do is get plugged into a church. We live in a day in age where people think that they can just watch church on their laptop, and that counts as being a church body member. The Lord calls us to not only attend church but be active body members. Each person in a church can contribute in one way or another. God gives us all special gifts that help shape the church into a whole functioning entity.

It’s easy to get behind and not attend church services. As a teenager, it’s important to go to church because it is a place that will build you up, and hold you accountable when you are doing something wrong. Getting involved with your church’s youth group, or a small group at your church is also very important. You will make like minded friends who will hold you to a higher standard than non-Christian friends. They will challenge you in new ways, and help you in your walk with God.

2. Develop a personal relationship with God

Developing a personal relationship with God is one of the most beautiful parts of being a Christian. If you want to develop a personal relationship with God, but do not know how to, ask your youth pastor, or someone close to you that has a firm relationship with Christ.

You can grow in your relationship with God, just as you would with a human being, by spending time with him. The more you spend in the Bible reading, or praying to God, the more you will understand Him, and want to know more about him. The relationship you have with God is the most important relationship you will ever have in your life, so you might as well start getting to know Him now!

3. Obey God first

The Bible teaches us that the greatest commandment is to love God first, and then to love others. When you learn to love God, you will learn to also obey him. Think about it, the more you love a person, the more you want to make them happy. How do you make a person happy? By doing what they believe to be is right, then you are obeying them. If you truly love God, then you will want yearn to obey him, and please him in all that you do.

Sometimes we might find it hard to obey God, because we feel as if we know better than Him. The things on earth are temporary, only he is eternal. He knows that there are many tempting things on earth, but he knows that they will only satisfy temporarily. He is the only one who can satisfy eternally.

4. Obey your parents

One of the ten commandments God gave the Israelites was to obey their parents. Sometimes you might find this hard to follow because your parents might get on your nerves easily. You must remember that your parents have been given the most important job, to bring you up in the ways of the Lord. Colossians 3:20 states, “Children, be obedient to your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the Lord.”

God specifically tells us in the Bible to obey our parents because it is pleasing to him. If we are to obey God and honor his ways then we must also obey our parents. Proverbs 19:26 tells us that, “He who assaults his father and drives his mother away Is a shameful and disgraceful son.” God tells us throughout the Bible how disobeying your father and mother is a shameful act. Those that disobey their parents are sinning against God. Think about it, God placed it as one of the ten commandments, it obviously is a big deal to him.

5. Obey authority figures

When you’re a teenager, it’s cool to rebel against authority. A teenager tends to feel like it is his duty to be different, or to stand up against those in charge. The Bible actually speaks on the wrongness of this, and how you should obey those that are in charge.

Romans 13:1 states, “All of you must obey those who rule over you. There are no authorities except the ones God has chosen. Those who now rule have been chosen by God.” The Bible instructs us to obey those that rule over us because they were chosen by God. To disobey them is to disobey God. Whether it is your mother and father, or a teacher at school, you should obey their rules. God will ultimately hold them accountable for the way they governed, but for now, you must just follow what they say.

7. Don’t stress about the future

One thing that I find to very common amongst young people is the problem of stress. From the time kids are in middle school to the time they get to college, they face an overwhelming amount of stress that comes from all facets of their life. Whether they are student athletes who want to get good grades, or art students that constantly feel like their work is under-appreciated, students are stress ridden.

Philippians 4:4-6 states, “Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.” He wants us to find peace in Him, to not stress, and leave our burdens for him. He tells us not to be anxious about anything, that with prayer we should bring these things forth to God. Give your worries, anxieties, stresses to him. He cares for you.

8. Get a job

This might sound silly to you, but getting a job is an important thing for a teenager. I got my first job when I was fifteen working at a pottery shop, and I learned many valuable lessons in my time there. Not only did I learn the true definition of responsibility, but I learned how to talk to people around me about God, when I didn’t expect it. I learned that God places us in specific scenarios with specific people so that we can tell them about Jesus. It taught me to never take people for granted, which is something all teenagers should learn.

9. Tell others about Jesus

As it was stated in the previous bullet, it is important to not hide your faith from others, and especially as a teenager. My pastor at church this past Sunday gave a great analogy about evangelism. He said, “If your friend was standing in the middle of the train tracks, and there was a train coming, but you had time to push them out of the way, would you do it?” The point is, you know the impending death that all people face, you can see that train coming. But the thing is, we will never know when the train will hit. It is sad, but life is fleeting. It is important to tell others about Jesus, so they do not miss out on the gift of eternal salvation.
