Social media influencer Solomon Jordan shared a remarkable difference between love and lust. He also remarked on the biblical definition of love and shared a powerful prayer to avoid falling into lust.
Love Vs. Lust
Nowadays, some people confuse love with lust. They thought it was love, but it left them disappointed and hurt. These experiences often lead them to believe that real love is no longer possible. That’s why it’s important to understand real love, so one will no longer be deceived by such fake love.

In an Instagram post, social media influencer Solomon Jordan shared the notes he wrote on his iPhone. He wrote about what “Love Is Not,” what “Love Is,” and “Lust vs. love.”
What is Love?
At first, he listed the signs of a fake love. He noted that this looks like in the form of “abuse, manipulation, toxic, good sex, petty, impossible to find, a one-time thing, just a word, distrustful, condemning, selfish, and fickle.”
Then Solomon defined love based on how the Bible describes it. In 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, it says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.”

It’s also important to note that “lust is saltwater and will kill a relationship.” Meanwhile, “agape love is life and will heal and grow a relationship.”
The influencer also stressed that lust focuses on a person’s body, while love focuses on a person’s soul.
Then, in the end, Solomon encouraged believers to “wait for love.” He remarked, “For love reveals itself after the emotions fade.” He also shared a powerful prayer for every believer to not fall into lust.
