Pastor Steve Uppal is helping people with father wounds by sharing two practical ways of understanding a relational God.
Relational God
The show GOD TV Together, hosted by Fergus Scarfe, invited Pastor Steve Uppal, the senior leader of All Nations Church, to share profound revelations about how relational God is.
Pastor Steve started by highlighting the truth that a relational, loving God longs to have an intimate relationship with His creation. He went on to say, “I realize that in the world in which we live right now, gazing at who God is, the beauty of who He is, is what sustains a vibrant, lively heart at peace.”

Fergus followed up by asking a question about people who struggle with father issues. He asked, “What should they do to understand how amazing our God is?” Pastor Steve’s replied with the following:
1. Ask God
When we pray God can reveal who He is and what is true.
Pastor Steve shared, “Your dad may not have been present. You don’t know him. He may have been abusive, the Heavenly Father is not like any of those,” Pastor Steve said. God is good. Even to those who grew up in a good home, he said they also need a revelation of God’s goodness. Ask God, and He will show great things to you. Let John 16:24 remind you, “Until now, you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask, and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.”
2. Read the Bible
He also shared the truth that we need to open the scripture to discover the goodness of God.
“There’s all these characters that went through tremendous challenges, but they’re rooted in God’s love – came from a revelation from scripture and a living conversation with God,” Pastor Steve continued.
Remember, we have hope in Christ, even if we’ve experienced father wounds.
May these two tips lead you to experience how relational God wants to be with you.
