A man who walked away from God shared a powerful testimony, affirming the living presence of the Redeemer.
A Man Who Walked Away From God
In a featured post on Anthem Church, a man recounted the story of how God rescued him during his darkest moments. He warmly reminisced about his childhood days when his mother faithfully took him to church, imparting in him a deep understanding of God’s presence.
“I always knew to call on the name of Jesus if I needed help. And He would help me every single time,” he reflected.
However, as he became entangled in worldly pursuits, he gradually distanced himself from God. Nevertheless, God persisted in revealing His presence through remarkable signs. Everything took a dramatic turn for him in December 2021, when his best friend suffered a tragic fate and was shot and killed. This event plunged him into the darkest season of his life. Yet, it was during those painful days that he experienced the profound and genuine power of God.
“I met seasoned people of faith that would take me under their wing and teach me the deep things of God. One of those people being my sister Rose,” he recounted.
The profound transformation in his sister’s life deeply influenced him.

Redeemed by God
Furthermore, he started reading the Bible, which he had previously regarded as a mere fairy tale. Gradually, God began the transformative process within him. Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, He enabled him to bring people to Christ. He then testified, “I’m here today to tell you that our Redeemer lives.”
Moreover, he emphasized that he did not choose the life he now leads. Instead, he acknowledged that it was God who chose him. Reflecting on his journey, he urged, “God is not focused on religion. He wants your heart. You are not too young to follow Christ, and there is no sin you have committed that the blood can’t washed away. If God could use somebody like me, and slowly grew me into the image of his Son, He surely wants to use you today.”
