Pain Led Teen To Become Rebellious
Brandon Brecht always felt distant from his father growing up. He was rarely at home because of his military duties. And whenever at home, his dad only abused him physically and emotionally. Hence, he grew up with such rage and anger in his heart towards his dad. But he longed for his love and affection. The deep pain eventually led him on a downward path in life.

In Brandon’s teen years, playing video games became his escape. But it soon ended as his father beat him and mocked him as he was crying. Then out of rage, he grabbed a knife and threatened to kill himself if he called the cops. Yet, in the end, the police came and arrested him when it was his father who abused him.
After being released from the juvenile, Brandon moved out of their home and stayed in his friend’s house. Soon, he began to live a rebellious life and turned to drugs.
Crying Out To God
It wasn’t long before Brandon’s dad left home and never returned. One day, at home, he discovered that he wasn’t really his father’s biological son. And he finally understood why his dad never loved him. He felt like his life was a lie and rebelled even more.

Partying and taking hard drugs became Brandon’s escape because he hated his life a lot. The feelings of rejection and abandonment took a toll on his life, and one night, he finally cried out to God.
“God, I hate my life,” helplessly, he told God. “Every time I try to get clean, every time I try to do better, I go right back to the same thing..”
To his surprise, God responded in an audible voice and said, “Are you ready?” Then the following events that happened in his life became the best days of his life.
