Peter Vandenberg, the Vice President of Christ For All Nations, testified about how God healed him from a rare cancer.

Peter Vandenberg was on a mission trip when he noticed a lump in his eyes. Because of it, his vision was distorted. So, when he went back from his trip, he went straight to an ophthalmologist and discovered that it was a tumor. At first, he was told that it was benign. Then, he was sent to a surgeon for an operation. But sadly, the surgeon informed him that it was cancerous. Afterward, he was sent to an oncologist, and as he looked at his condition, the doctor thought that it was just a regular lymphoma.
The next day, the oncologist told him that the diagnosis was incorrect. It was not a regular lymphoma. Instead, he had Burkitt lymphoma. It was a rare and highly aggressive cancer. Then, his doctor called Shands Hospital in Gainesville and asked Peter to visit them immediately.
Meanwhile, he searched online about his disease, and he discovered that in the United States, there was zero survival rate for people who were over 60 years old. At that time, he was already 68 years old. “I knew that it was a death sentence,” he shared.
Chemotherapy Journey
Furthermore, the doctor told him that they would start the most extreme chemotherapy. According to him, the medical staff poured 7 deadly chemicals into his blood. They did it all throughout the day for 5 days straight. “In the meantime, we jump into action by alarming all our… Christ For All Nations staff worldwide, people that we knew… and they all began to pray,” he recalled.

Moreover, he took a handful of medicines while he was on chemotherapy. And then, something happened. He told the staff that he would no longer take the medication that would help him survive the effects of chemo because he was not sick. “I felt great. I felt energetic… then for the first time, I realized what I called the finger of God was somehow touching my situation,” he testified.
God Healed Him
He went through a PET scan to check the progress of the chemotherapy. And then the doctor’s assistant called him and told him that it was a very good scan. The disease was not totally eradicated, but it’s close. On top of that, the doctor said, “Nobody your age has a Burkitt lymphoma has ever reached this point.” They did another scan, and that’s when the doctor asked him if he had already rung the remission bell. He hit that bell with every bit of energy that he had.
“I’ve gone from a death sentence in a space of three and a half months to a sound of life against all odds because of the hands of God moving in my situation,” he remarked.
