A six-year-old girl grieved over Jesus’ death after realizing that He died on the cross.

Rachel Timothy shared in a Facebook reel a very touching moment she had with her youngest daughter. Their whole family was preparing for bedtime when her seemingly heartbroken 6-year-old daughter came to her and asked her, “Mom, is God dead?”
“The tears and heartbreak she had last night were hard to watch but I recognized that this was the first time she realizes that the story of Jesus on the cross wasn’t just a story in a book… but the truth about what happened to God,” Rachel wrote.

Grieved over Jesus’ death
They wept and grieved the death of Jesus together. Rachel then explained to her young daughter the truth about the cross and the resurrection. The faithful and smart little girl tried to understand her mother’s words and was comforted a bit.
“I scooped her up in my arms and we cried together over the torture Jesus experienced. Because her sadness for her God is okay. We then discussed the Holy Spirit and heaven and Jesus raising from the dead and she tried to understand.”
Rachel then praised God for that innocent question that made her realize the depth of what Jesus has done for us.
“When it was all said and done, I thanked God for her precious question, her soft heart, and her love for God. I pray that I keep that same depth of sadness when I think about what God did for me.”
