Messianic Rabbi Schneider emphasized the significance of having a personal and inward experience with Christ. According to him, he highlighted that miracles alone cannot sustain an individual’s faith.
Messianic Rabbi Schneider
Messianic Rabbi Schneider, the host of the show “Discovering the Jewish Jesus,” delivered a significant message to those who consistently pursue external miracles. He emphasized that individuals can have a deeply profound encounter with God internally, often unnoticed by those around them. In these moments, they experience an inward connection with God.
Moreover, Rabbi Schneider emphasized that what truly sets individuals apart from others is the state of their hearts and minds. He encouraged people to prioritize and delve into these areas, as he firmly believed that they hold great importance.
“Jesus wants us to rid us off of always needing Him to do an outward miracle for us,” he remarked.
Additionally, he added that outward miracles can only generate a faith that is short-lived and fleeting.
Rabbi Schneider Testimony
He provided a profound example from his spiritual journey as a Jewish person. He shared how he was supernaturally saved when the Lord Jesus Christ appeared to him in a vision back in 1978. Being deeply passionate about miracles, he initially sought and experienced powerful encounters with God during the early stages of his faith. However, he acknowledged spending those early years primarily pursuing more miracles.
“The challenge was that that became the passion of my life. Looking to experience more miracles,” he explained.
Furthermore, he recalled a particular story that profoundly impacted his perspective. He had a meeting with an elderly Messianic Jewish woman, and they engaged in conversation. During their discussion, he expressed his frustrations about not witnessing more miracles. In response, the wise woman reminded him of the miracles that the children of Israel experienced in the wilderness when the Lord led them out of Egypt.
Miracles Cannot Sustain Our Faith
The Israelites witnessed the manifestation of a pillar of fire over the Tabernacle during the night and a cloud of glory throughout the day. They encountered supernatural occurrences daily. However, despite these remarkable experiences, the majority of them, apart from Joshua and Caleb, perished in the wilderness due to their lack of faith. This served as a stark reminder that miracles alone cannot sustain one’s faith.
He emphasized the need for individuals to refrain from relying solely on external miracles. Instead, he urged them to seek the illuminating presence of God’s supernatural indwelling Holy Spirit, recognizing that this is where true sustenance for faith is found.
Further, he also added that this is the reason why Jesus said, “You believe because you see. Blessed are those that believe without seeing.”
