7 quotes that make me stop and think.
1- “identity before activity”
This was the most recent quote I heard and was like wow that’s good. How many times do we launch out and do something that is not us and end up burning ourself out?
2- “vision over image”
This is what I heard God speak to my heart when I had a tough decision to make between 2 jobs. Both were good jobs but what was the good idea and what was the God idea? By seeking time with God I learned quickly to pick vision over image. I use this quote for making all my decisions. I think, is this part of my vision? If not I know it’s a no. I don’t think how good will I look? But rather how good will God look ?
3- “some people are so poor all they have is money”
I love this one! I will just let that one sink in…
4- “our living needs to be better than our preaching”
I try to live out this quote. I used to love preaching more than people. Now I try to love people more than preaching even if that means the cost of the preaching getting worse.
5- “no one will ever become poor by giving”
The quote is so true I never became poor by giving, in fact, I would go as far to say it’s only made my life richer in many ways. Live to give.
6- “if your to big to serve then your to small to lead”
Servant leaders are the best leaders the way up is down.
7- “what we avoid the devil invades”
This has been one of my favourite for so long. I think as Christians, we avoid the world. We did with music and look how MTV influenced the generation. I have heard of some Christians who are getting hate for doing a reality show but whether you like it or not reality TV is our generation language and if we want to reach them we need to speak their language.
