One ministry has seen thousands of people profess their faith during the coronavirus outbreak calling this season the “quarantine revival.”
Quarantine revival
As Church doors closed due to the global pandemic, revival is still happening because God’s power can never be contained. One specific ministry has seen over 117,000 people give their lives to Jesus while being quarantined in their homes.
Nick Hall, the host of Fox Nation’s “Bible Quarantine” series, hosted several virtual events and has seen thousands of people across the world profess their faith.
“We were literally getting smartphone photos from all over the world. From Nigeria to India and China — of families gathering in their living rooms, around 18-inch cathode-ray TVs, laptops, and HD screens watching our services,” Nick said in a statement. “The doors to our church buildings may have been closed, but the church has not closed. We are living through a Great Quarantine Revival, and I think God is just getting started.”
Online services
During Holy Week, the founder of PULSE, saw a massive responses during their Good Friday online service. The Service was broadcasted to nearly 100 countries. Many Christian ministers, including Ravi Zacharias, Max Lucado and Francis Chan, gave their words of encouragement to the viewers.
Lauren Daigle, Michael W. Smith, Kari Jobe, and Cody Carnes led the worship during the online event that was also translated into 40 different languages.
“We had translators working in closed countries. Risking their lives to bring this message in their language to their people. Because that’s how precious the gospel is to them,” Nick explained.
Leaders Check-in
On April 8, Nick hosted another virtual event to encourage ministry leaders and pastors during this trying time.
“This happened because I had a lot of friends that were calling me crying and in tears, overwhelmed by the situation. Whether it was at home, in their business or in their church,” he said. “And I simply called out to God. And said, ‘God, what would it look like to bring together men and women to offer hope and perspective in this moment of need?’”
This quarantine revival shows that God’s power can never be quarantined. And that whatever the scheme of the enemy is, God is still victorious.
