The lead pastor of Authentic Church in North Carolina recently posted preaching about the topic of love on his Instagram account with over 477,000 followers. In his preaching, he emphasized that it is important to follow God while being in a dating relationship. If the person you’re dating ditches you because you want to prioritize God over him/her, then bid that person goodbye because that’s not who God wants you to be with forever.
“In a dating relationship, never believe the lie that following God will make you lose the love of your life. If that person leaves because you’re putting Jesus first then, bye-bye. Because you must know who God is in order to understand what love is.”

Put God first
The reason why you need to put God first is because you’ll never know love until you get to know God. God is love and it’s only in Him where we get to experience the truest of all love. For you to genuinely love the person you are with right now, never neglect your relationship with Jesus.
