Pastor Kent Sparks revealed the passage in the Bible that greatly helped him whenever he felt discouraged.

In one of his sermons, Kent Sparks, the senior and founding pastor of Beachcities Community Church, talked about God’s faithfulness. He believed that no prayer would go unanswered. It was written in Revelation 8:3-4, “Another angel, who had a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense to offer, with the prayers of all God’s people, on the golden altar in front of the throne. The smoke of the incense, together with the prayers of God’s people, went up before God from the angel’s hand.”
According to him, angels had been storing up all these prayers and mixing them with incense. They’re not answered until the end of time. These are thousands of year-old prayers. Then, he continued by highlighting that God heard His people’s prayers. They may die without seeing the answer, but when they get to heaven, they will see God’s answers.

Do not Lose Heart
Furthermore, he encouraged the congregation to keep on praying and not lose heart. Then, he emphasized the passage in the Bible that greatly helped him whenever he felt discouraged. It reminded him of God’s faithfulness in prayer.
It was in Psalms 91:14-16 (NET), “The Lord says, ‘Because he is devoted to me, I will deliver him; I will protect him because he is loyal to me. When he calls out to me, I will answer him. I will be with him when he is in trouble; I will rescue him and bring him honor. I will satisfy him with long life and will let him see my salvation.’” This verse is for every person who is loyal to God.
Moreover, he explained that people were not perfect, but God doesn’t want perfection. Even though humans stumble in many ways, God simply desires His people’s loyalty.
“If we’re loyal and faithful to Him, He will answer our prayers and honor us. Praise God. We serve a great God. Do we not?” he remarked.
