Mark Chironna Talks About Facing Brokenness: ‘Underneath This Pain Is A Promise’

Mark Chironna talked about facing the brokenness on Supernatural Life Show. He reminded the people that underneath the pain is a promise.

Certified life coach and spiritual director, Dr. Mark Chironna, joined Patricia King to share some profound insights on facing life’s hardships. Patricia emphasized that many people tend to discard their brokenness and miss the opportunity to glean goodness from it. She expressed how the painful experiences she encountered revealed the true nature of God.

Dr. Mark further noted that Scripture contains a wealth of wisdom regarding this aspect that people often try to avoid. During one of his darkest seasons, Marilyn Hickey reminded him that God is attracted to our weaknesses, highlighting how even in our frailty, God’s power manifests.

“It hit me like a ton of bricks. I’ve never thought about that before,” he recalled.

Furthermore, he shared the profound insight that Christ not only suffered for His people but also suffered with them. He emphasized that Jesus never abandoned His people in their suffering, demonstrating His solidarity with them.

“Underneath this pain is a promise,” he remarked.

Facing Brokenness

Patricia King highlighted that suppressing pain can lead to physical illness. However, she emphasized that those who embrace and commune in the sufferings of Christ would be recipients of His profound love.

“It’s where you will actually discover yourself,” she added.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mark mentioned Moses as an example from the Bible. He explained that it took Moses 40 years in the desert to confront and address the guilt of killing an Egyptian, which ultimately represented a part of himself that needed healing and transformation.

“When he killed that Egyptian, he was trying to kill a part of himself that he rejected,” he explained.

When Moses encountered the burning bush, the fusion of his Egyptian upbringing and Hebrew heritage occurred. It was at this point that his brokenness and unique qualities coalesced, which ultimately led him to become a deliverer. Eventually, Patricia King offered words of encouragement to viewers who may be enduring challenging circumstances.

“You are not going to die inside of that darkness. You are going to rise up above, and when you do, you are going to have so much insights… so much amazing revelation of who God is,” she shared.

Minister and best-selling author John Bevere reminds believers of the process one has to go through before seeing God’s promises fulfilled.

According to the international speaker and teacher, a process is always involved when God gives a promise. He said, “When God gives us a promise, there’s a PROCESS that follows.”

But what is the process?

He explained, “Process is the development of the needed faith and the needed character to fulfill the promise. When the promise is given, we don’t have the character or the faith to fulfill it.”

He added, “It is required in order to stay in the promise and steward it well.

In other words, one has to go through a process to receive God’s promise completely.

Joseph the Dreamer

He proceeded to illustrate his point through the life of Joseph.

“Let me use Joseph as an example,” he shared.

“God gives Joseph a dream – two dreams. He’s going to be a great leader [and] his brothers are going to serve him; his mother and father are going to bow down to him.”

But when God gave that dream to Joseph, Joseph didn’t have s the character developed necessary to steward God’s promise.

“He was a bragger, he was a tattletale. It actually points out that he told on his brothers and got them in trouble. He definitely doesn’t have the character for what God’s called him to do.”

Joseph underwent years of process, but God was faithful to His Word. God’s promise was fulfilled and what was revealed in Joseph’s dream came to pass.

John encouraged, “If this describes your season right now, it’s time to lean into what He is working into your life so that you will be ready to take hold of your promise!”

Receiving God’s Blessing

You are a child of God. Created for receiving the abundance and blessing of walking alongside the Father. Do you anticipate His goodness? If you find yourself doubting God’s hand in your life, read on for 5 promises to you from His word. Let the Father remind you of who you belong to.

1. A Promise For Rest

“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).

2. A Promise For Healing

“This is what the Lord, the God of your ancestor David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears. I will heal you” (2 Kings 20:5).

3. A Promise For Joy

“To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair” (Isaiah 61:3).

4. A Promise For Nearness

“For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears” (Zephaniah 3:17).

5. A Promise For Abundance

“Oh, the joys of those who do not follow the advice of the wicked, or stand around with sinners, or join in with mockers. But they delight in the law of the Lord, meditating on it day and night. They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season” (Psalm 1:1-3).

Create receiving, open hearts in us, Father God. Let the promises of your Word lead us to receiving more of who you are, Holy Spirit.

The Lord promised us that if we ask, we will receive.

Lord’s Promise

In an episode of Gather, Ben and Jodie Hughes share the truth about God’s promise. The promise that if we will ask, we will receive. Ben emphasized what the Bible says about us asking the Lord. It clearly said that if we knock, the door will be opened, if we seek, we will find what we’re looking for.

“The Bible says this, ‘If you ask, you will receive,’” Ben emphasized. “Jesus said it, if you ask, you shall receive, if you seek, you will find. It doesn’t say if you ask, maybe, maybe you’ll receive, no. It says if you ask, you will receive.”

There are no prerequisites nor qualifications for that, it’s a promise for everyone who follows the Lord.

“It’s a promise, there are no qualifications put on that,” he added.

Ask, You Will Receive

Everything that the Bible says is true because the Word of God is living and active. Let our hearts be aligned to His Words and let our hearts trust the truths of God.

“We can expect as we talk about these the truths of God that He will answer us, that things are shifting,” Jodie said. “Even in our own hearts and expectations right now because the Word of God is living and active. Right now, that means as we release these truths, things are shifting in our own hearts. Faith is rising, the expectation is rising, hope is rising, and a knowing in our own hearts that God cares, He listens and He answers.”

Hope Is Key To Fulfillment Of Promise

Hope is often seen as a possibility and not a certainty. In everyday discourse we use it as something that may happen. However it is more than that in spiritual terms. It is a certainty and will happen, fulfillment. There might a delay between what is given and when it is received but it will happen. In God’s terms hope is a certainty and so hope is more than just a wish. Faith is the evidence of things hoped for. This means that hope is alive and will see what we believe for. Hope therefore is a powerful word that waits for the promise to be fulfilled.

Fulfillment

Hope is used many times in the Bible as a word to expect from God what He has promised. Hope is a now word for us to move forward and not look back. Abraham left for the Promised Land knowing that God had promised and so he went. The promise needs to be received by faith and hope sees it through. We hope for things we do not see. What is there to hope for things that we see? Hope brings the invisible into the visible. It is the certainty of what we believe in. whether it is healing or freedom.

Speak His Word

Let us hope for what God has promised in His Word. Today let us speak His Word out boldly whether personal or corporate. His word spoken out boldly will release power to perform what it is sent out to do. The angels will carry your spoken word and perform that word into existence. God spoke and created all things that we see. We likewise have to speak His word and will see the mountains move. What a promise we have in the Spirit to pray and see His works through our words spoken in faith.

Relentless Woman, It’s About Who You Become In The Process

It’s easy to say nothing is impossible with God if your circumstance gives you a hint that it shall come to pass. But what about if your situation doesn’t seem to agree with what God promised? Will you give up, or will you still believe His promise?

God’s promise is always true.

His faithfulness is evident when He fulfilled every promise to Israel in Joshua 21:45, “Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.”

Whatever He said He would do, He will truly fulfill it. But the problem comes when we get impatient because God’s timeline is far different from ours. Yet the good thing is, God knows what He is doing, and He is working all things together for good to those who love Him (Romans 8:28).

However, this faith that we have towards God’s promises does get challenged over time. Especially if our circumstance dictates otherwise, or perhaps we got tired of waiting on God. And then we come to a point wherein we wonder if God would still do it.

The good news is, yes, He will answer. But maybe God is still preparing your heart when you receive those promises. Perhaps, it’s not about the promise, but who you become in the process. And when God sees it that you’re ready to receive the greater things He has for you, you’d probably praise Him that He had made you wait.

So, trust God while you wait for His promises to unfold in your life. Because God’s timing is always perfect, and “He has made everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

“Wait for the Lord; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the Lord.” -Psalm 27:14

Christian hip-hop artist Lecrae recently shared words of encouragement and hope amid the difficult time that the world is facing.

Lecrae Devaughn Moore, popularly known just by his first name Lecrae, is an award-winning Christian hip-hop artist. He has always been open about his faith with the public. As an artist, he has been using the music industry as a platform to share who God is.

On April 22, the Grammy-winning artist shared a message of hope and encouragement during the annual Q 2020 Virtual Summit.

“I think a lot of times distress causes us to draw near to God,” Lecrae told host Gabe Lyons. “I don’t want to be caught trying to be overly productive or overly fearful, I want to be caught surrendering and drawing near to God in the midst of distress, in the midst of a trying time.”

Promise of God

Lecrae referenced the promise of God found in the book of Jeremiah.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” -Jeremiah 29:11

“All of this was in the midst of distress; it’s a great promise in the midst of a humongous problem,” he said.

The rapper emphasized that the Lord made all those promises while the Israelites were still in captivity. He then related the Israelites’ situation to the situation that the world is facing right now.

“The challenge to them was to continue living, to build houses to start families,” he said. “I think for us, the call for us is to continue living, to say, ‘OK, I can’t change the circumstance, but I can be changed in the midst of it. I can’t run away from this, but I can walk through this with the people around me.’ I think that’s what I’m called to do in this in this time period.”

Answer to hopelessness

Lecrae then reminded all Christians that we have the answer to the hopelessness that everyone is experiencing.

“If there was ever a time to not be ashamed, it’s during times of trial and tribulation when people are looking, literally searching for answers, searching for of validity and purpose and hope.”
