Israeli archaeologists discovered the oldest copy of the Scripture ever found and they dug it in a burial grounds in Jerusalem.

Dr. Gabriel Barkay, an Israeli Archaeologist, and his team were digging in Ketef Hinnom in Jerusalem when they discovered something unbelievable! The Ketef Hinnom was used as burial grounds in the 7th Century BC, it’s located in the southwest of the city.
While their team was digging up Tomb #25, they weren’t expecting to find anything of value as tomb robbers have already destroyed the tomb. It was a kid from the Archaeology Club named Nathan that made a discovery that would rewrite history!

As Nathan was cleaning the repository under the tomb, he broke the stone floor and found over 1000 objects from centuries ago. The repository is a small chamber in each tomb where people buried the belongings of the dead. Among the objects found underneath are two silver-sheet scrolls.
In it are 19 lines of encryptions in Hebrew and the first deciphered word in it is the name of the Lord, YHWH. They then discovered that what was written in the scrolls came directly from the Hebrew Bible, Numbers 6: 24-26.

The archaeologists later came up with a theory that it is the oldest copy of the scripture ever discovered! It is older than the Dead Sea Scrolls and it dates back to the 7th Century BC.
“This discovery is of the earliest Biblical verses ever discovered. They predate the very famous Dead Sea Scrolls by several centuries. So, these are the earliest Biblical verses, they date back to the 7th Century BC. To the time of the prophet Jeremiah, to the time of the Davidic dynasty. To the time that the first temple of Solomon was still standing in Jerusalem.”
It is astonishing to learn that the oldest copy of the Bible contained a verse that speaks about the blessing of the Lord.
