Megan Williams recently shared a testimony about how she became a spiritual granddaughter to a grandfather she cared for.

With more than a hundred thousand followers, Megan Williams, a registered nurse, chooses to use her platform to share what God is doing in her life.
In one of her posts, she openly shared about her past and how God redeemed her:
“I look back at her surviving…
I look back at her doing the best she could.
And I look back at her, and I show her mercy and grace.
I say, God forgive me, and he says baby, I already have.
I look back at old Megan, and I can say yes I love her, she is part of me, I dance with her, I try to understand her mind, I forgive her, I can finally say my pain is my friend, and I own my past.”

“And I am free. My past is not heavy baggage, it doesn’t define me, it is simply part of God’s story that I have learned to embrace. I don’t have to hide it shamefully in a closet, because it has nothing to do with my value, worth, or identity,” she said.
Many people expressed how they can relate to her and how her story reminded them of God’s faithfulness.
‘Sat With The Pain’
In another post, Megan talked about dealing with pain. Something that people usually don’t want to talk about.
But it only takes one person’s testimony for others to be set free. When she openly shared about it, people started sharing their stories in the comment section too.
“These past 4 years, I’ve gotten to know myself. I’ve learned to spend time with myself, I’ve learned to make dates with God, and show up. I’ve learned about my childhood, I’ve dug into the trauma, I’ve sit with the pain, I’ve learned to forgive myself, and I’ve learned to forgive others. And I’ve learned that my life is more than my past, I’ve learned the patterns that always bring destruction, and broke them with Jesus by my side. See, God had to get me alone, so I could take an honest evaluation of me. Nothing is impossible with God. All he needs is your obedience. Say YES! And watch your life change,” she said.
Became A Spiritual Granddaughter
Among many of her posts, one that truly touched people’s hearts was the story about how she became a spiritual granddaughter to a patient.
Megan had been taking care of a grandpa, and she thought she was just going to be his nurse.
“I thought I was just his nurse. God had other plans! I prayed over him, and now, I gained a spiritual grandfather,” she said.
Not only does she get to pray for him, but he prays for her as well!
