Pastor Gregory Dickow, a pastor based in Illinois, shared important advice and an eye-opening message for all parents. He said, “The most important leaders in the world today: Parents!”
The Most Important Leaders
The pastor of Life Changers Church encouraged all parents in their role. He encouraged parents to understand the importance of their role.
Pastor Gregory said, “Listen to me, parents. You have more power than the president. You have more power than the kings and generals.” He added, “You have more power than business leaders. You have more power and authority than anybody leading any country, any city, any business, anything! Because you are a parent.”
He also reminded them of their identity in God. “You have been made in the image of God to be the father or the mother that God created you to be.”
And although parents make mistakes, Greg assured them of God’s redemption and newness. “No matter what your past has been, and no matter what damage you might think you did to your kids… believe that God is a God of second chances. Believe that God is working everything together for YOUR good. Embrace His grace that makes up for all we’ve missed. Embrace His strength that makes up for all our weaknesses.”
He continued, “Parents, don’t feel like you failed.”
“The best any parent can ever do is 50% of the job of raising their children because the other 50% has to happen from God. And our job as parents is to find a way to put the hands of our children into the hands of God.”
Greg then encouraged parents to pray with their children and seek the Lord together!
