A Christian social media influencer is sharing with believers that if they want to hear God’s voice, then they need to stop listening to secular music.

Mimi Fordjour, a Christian influencer with almost 200,000 followers on Instagram has a warning for believers still listening to secular music. She shared that to hear God’s voice, we need to be mindful of what we are listening to.
“If you want to hear God’s voice, don’t listen to secular music… You have to always be in an environment that is conducive for the Holy Spirit to have His way in your life. Don’t listen to secular music. The words, the atmosphere, the spirit behind those songs, are the opposite of the Spirit of God. The spirit of the enemy and the Spirit of God cannot dwell in one place, one has to have dominion. So if you want to hear the voice of God, don’t listen to secular music, don’t,” she said in a video.

Secular music
She then explained in her post that everything in this world has a spirit in it, including music. It is either a demonic spirit or the Spirit of God. If the song does not glorify the Lord, then that music is backed by the enemy’s spirit.
“As long as the music doesn’t have the goal to glorify God you have no business listening to it as a believer!!”
It is important to create an atmosphere that welcomes the Holy Spirit to freely move in your life.
“Take this from me, if you want to grow in your walk with God, live in atmospheres that the Holy Ghost likes! An atmosphere of worship free of demons! Don’t listen to secular music! Be in an atmosphere that edifies you!”
