Matt Maher Talks About a Believer’s Transformation
Recently, he shared that when someone gets closer to God, a transformation should expected. As we go through “fires” in life, the more we can be refined by God.
CHRIS MUELLER: “RELATIONSHIPS DO NOT HAVE TO BE A THREE-RING CIRCUS”
“When you get close to the heart of God, you get close to a fire and fire changes you. It can cauterize wounds. Literally, fire is a chemical. It’s a catalytic conversion. It’s something that is on a molecular level going through a transformation. Which I think is a really great illustration for what happens in spiritual life. The closer we get to God, the more we can’t stay the same. We’re changed by it,” Matt Maher said.
Faith
Furthermore, Matt expressed that faith gives you the opportunity to see and find the gift.
“Life is full of circumstances that you don’t get to choose. I think faith gives you the opportunity to always accept the gift and to find the gift. Even in the craziest of circumstances. And for me, the gift that I found was in the longing to be in that space again,” he said.
Additionally, Matt said that he believes in the power of music to change the lives of the people.
“Music changes you and it changes you the moment that you hear it. I’m a firm believer in the live aspect of it because people are making something right there for the first time. Even if you played a song a million times, you haven’t played it in that room with those people in that context and something happens. Something truly miraculous happens,” he said.
