Madison Prewett Troutt, also known as Madi Prew, shared her insights for single women seeking marriage. To make her point, the social media influencer referenced the Apostle Paul’s writings in 1 Corinthians 7 in the Bible.

Message to single women

In her message, she stressed that “singleness is a gift.” This truth may be challenging for some single women to accept. She emphasized that it is perhaps the most important season of one’s life because it serves as preparation before entering marriage.

“Because who you are here will determine who you will be there,” she explained. “If you don’t learn contentment here, if you don’t find satisfaction in Jesus alone, if you don’t learn how to read your Word, get into Scripture, and engage in prayer in singleness, then it will be challenging to translate that into marriage.”

It Is A Gift

Furthermore, Madi added that these things can also be learned during marriage. However, the challenges may be greater due to the additional responsibilities that come with marriage.

“I’m just saying singleness is a time where you can have undivided devotion to Jesus,” she said. “That’s what it talks about in 1 Corinthians 7.”

In her caption, Madi also wrote: “Singleness is not a season of less than, and it’s not a problem to be solved by marriage.”

She then shared three things she learned during that season—holiness, healing, and practicing healthy habits.

These words of wisdom are just snippets from Madi’s book “The Love Everybody Wants.”

Why Purity Matters By Madi Prew

Madi Prew gained recognition in 2020 when she participated in Season 24 of the reality show “The Bachelor.” She ultimately finished as a runner-up. Since her time on the show, she has authored a Christian book and utilized her social media platforms to spread the message of Jesus to her audience. She has now amassed 1.8 million followers on Instagram and 2.2 million followers on TikTok. As an influencer, she remains committed to sharing God’s love with her followers.

During an interview with CBN, Madi shared her profound insights about the topic of purity and the value it holds. The host asked, “What would you say to somebody who is trying to live a pure life or returning back to purity? What kind of boundaries would you offer or advice would you offer them?”

Know Your Why

In her response, Madi emphasized the importance of “knowing your why.” She then shared her journey in choosing purity for the past several years as an example. Apparently, it was God’s word that sustained her.

“For me, it was so important for me to know I’m choosing purity because God’s word literally says ‘blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God,’” she said. “Purity leads me to be at a place where I can see God clearly, I can know Him in an intimate way.”

Freedom

God has always been Madi’s goal in life. Hence, she desired God’s will in her life more than anything. As a result, she experienced freedom.

“I want God’s best for my life and I wanna see God,” she said. “And I want God in my life, in my relationship. I’ve been able to see purity gives way more than maybe what the world would say it takes away. Actually pursuing purity is what leads to freedom.

Further, Madi also revealed her imperfect moments in pursuing purity. She admitted how “it led to shame and confusion.” Moreover, it took away her confidence in Christ. Hence, she realized living in it truly gives confidence to a person.

“And so, pursuing purity has been able to give me that confidence of like ‘I know who I am in Christ.’” She remarked. “And that has been my why. And so in moments where it’s been hard, I go back to that why.”

In her caption, Madi encouraged her followers: “No matter what your past looks like, this is a decision you can make from this day forward.”

In a message shared by Madi Prew Troutt to Christian women, she urged them not to rely upon their source of validation to people. She pointed out how it’s good to hear a compliment from others. But one should seek to hear God’s words first more than anything.

“As women of God, standing firm in our value, in our identity, in our worth, and who we truly are, it is so important that we hear from God first hand,” she stressed. “Not second hand.”

Hear It From God

She added that the revelation of a person’s identity should not come from one’s parents, friends, small group leader, or pastor.

“But you got to hear it from God,” the 27-year-old remarked. “You got to be in the Word, you got to be abiding, you got to be in prayer. You got to let God tell you who you are, you got to hear it first-hand.”

Along with heaven and earth, man is just passing. But just like what Jesus said in Matthew 24:35, “but My words will never pass away.” The Word of God will stand the test of time and will forever remain. With that said a person’s value should always be anchored in His Word.

So, never settle for a second-hand. Hear who you are first-hand from God.

Lesson Madi Prew Learned About Marriage

During the first anniversary of Madison Prewett and Grant Troutt’s marriage, Madi became vulnerable about their journey as a couple. She admitted that it was a rough road, but because their marriage was built around Jesus, it is fulfilling.

Madi wrote, “Marriage isn’t always “post worthy” with perfect filters and big smiles. The mundane, everyday moments are a lot more common than the big insta worthy, goosebump moments. It’s the hidden, unseen, private life moments that shape a marriage.”

The 27-year-old admitted how they fail to serve each other sometimes. She also shared about how her selfishness drives her at times because of insecurities.

‘DON’T ENTER RELATIONSHIPS FROM A PLACE OF LACK.. ONLY JESUS CAN SATISFY’

“There are moments where I get insecure, and I don’t share my deepest desires and thoughts with Grant out of fear that I’m not good enough,” she wrote. “There are moments where I overreact and get angry at the smallest inconvenience of something not going my way. And there are moments when I come to Grant for fulfillment and completion, looking for him to meet my every need and make me feel less lonely and more whole.

The Gospel

But in seeking God, Madi and Grant have learned how to treat each other with grace and love. But above all, Madi remarked marriage showed her “the simplicity of the Gospel.”

“Unconditional love, grace when not deserved, and forgiveness when it’s hard,” she said. “I am thankful that our marriage is built on something bigger and stronger than us.”

In conclusion, Madison remarked, “These are a lot of the behind the scene moments that no one sees. But the moments that MAKE a marriage. Built on prayer, encouragement, affection, forgiveness, laughter, and joy… built on JESUS.”

A month ago, Madison Prewett Troutt guested in the Christian podcast called “Becoming Something.” In one segment, they talked about the importance of being satisfied in Jesus and not in any other human relationships. In the context of Becoming Something’s goal to help young adults “become all that God desires” them to be,” Madison shared her insights.

She said, “At times, we enter into relationships from a place of lack, looking for someone else to fill or meet a need.”

Then, the former ‘The Bachelor’ star shared her story of why her husband chose her.

“And I remember this one time.. Grant and I got pulled into this small group that my mom was leading and we actually were engaged,” she recalled. “We hadn’t gotten married yet. But they were asking the question like, ‘Grant how did you know she was the one?'”

RANDALL WORLEY: “PRAYER IS REALLY NOT ABOUT GETTING ANSWERS”

Her now husband, Grant, explained, “She didn’t need me, she just wanted me, she knew who she was in Christ. And she wasn’t looking for me to complete her, to satisfy her, to meet her every single need and desire. She knew who she was in Jesus.”

Only Jesus Can Satisfy

Madison then concluded, “And I think that’s where we go wrong so often. We enter into whether it even be like friendships, or any type of relationship. And we’re looking for someone to meet all of our needs, demands, and expectations. When it’s really like at the end of the day, Jesus is the only one that’s gonna be able to completely satisfy every longing of our heart.”

When people let relationships meet their deepest needs more than God’s, they can be deeply disappointed. Because the truth is, only Jesus can satisfy the deepest longing in their hearts.

“A person can never fill a space in your heart that God was design to occupy. Make sure your heart knows that you don’t need a boyfriend/girlfriend more than you need Jesus!”
