Mike Baker, former CIA covert operations officer, revealed to Joe Rogan that he wished he had raised his kids in the church.

In “The Joe Rogan Experience,” a podcast wherein Joe and his guest discuss a variety of topics, Mike shared something he confessed that might be odd to some.
“I think one of the things that I’ve failed on with the kids — and this is going to sound odd — is church, is religion,” he said.
“I’m not agnostic; I’m not an atheist by any means,” Mike continued. “I think there’s something higher up there.”
“I don’t mean that I’ve failed to take the kids to a certain organized church every Sunday … but I feel like I may have dropped the ball in giving them a sense of something bigger.”
Mike, who is also the CEO of Portman Square Group, a global intelligence firm, explained the reason behind his hesitation with his children. “But I think because I’ve always had this thing about … organized religion, that I may have gone too far the other direction.”
He believed that the problem with most religions is that churches each have a “lock on truth.” But, he wished that he should’ve “given them a chance to at least think about it.”
Furthermore, Mike hopes that his three sons will come to attend church in their life. He added that it does not matter what denomination they will enter.

Meanwhile, Joe supported Mike’s claim and said that most people he knows that are “disciplined” are those who are “religious.”
The two fathers contemplated the benefits of religion and church and included “instilling a sense of something bigger” and “self-discipline.”
“The Joe Rogan Experience” is the most listened-to podcast in the United States. It has an average of 11 million listeners per episode. And with the recent episode, surely many will come to consider the benefits of faith.
