“It’s okay to not be okay.” You may have heard this many times, and this is what Pastor Bobby Chandler shared about in a recent message..
Pretending To Be Okay Spiritually
Pastor Bobby Chandler addressed the issue many face today: pretending to be okay when you’re not.
“We walk into church looking like this [pointing to the baggage he’s carrying]. Spiritually. We walk into church like, “Hi, how are you guys doing today? I’m doing well; everything’s fine in my life. I’m good, I’m good,” he said.
“Like we pretend everything is good. We got these big burdens on our shoulders that we placed upon ourselves. Holding on to these things that are wearing you down. These things are heavy. But that’s real life,” he said.
Stop Pretending To Be Okay
He added, “How long can you keep this up?”
A person commented on how this message spoke to her deeply. T
hen she shared an encouragement to everyone: “The Lord knows everything that is happening in your life. Your stress, your troubles, your burden that wear you down. Jesus sees where we are, and all we need to do is seek God and seek rest in God’s will. Come to God, and God will give you the peace you need. Trust in Him.”

This comment affirmed the solution that Pastor Bobby offered.
“So I love that Jesus sees exactly where we are. You can’t fake it with Jesus. You can’t pretend that everything is perfect. But instead of condemning you for not resting, for not believing, He said, “Come to Me. All of you who are tired, I will give you rest.”
God’s Rest
“And in that moment when you run to Jesus, you know what I believe He says? I believe He says, “Sit down. Just sit down.” And watch Him do what you can’t because He loves you,” he concluded.
“And he said, “My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest” (Exodus 33:14).
“In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8).
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever” (Psalm 73:26).
